Couldn't see a new thread so started this one. So we're now into a show of two halves, edited together - pre and post lockdown! Who's shouting "before" "after" at each scene?

Yes, why wasn't Faye there. It was almost like a rushed wedding thing, ill fitting dress, whole can of hairspray. Little in the way of vows etc. It's an obviously necessary wedding storyline because Sarah was bawling at the window, Gary saw, and by Friday they have to end up in bed of course
(although they won't actually BE in bed because of covid, but he will come out the bathroom with a towel wrapped round him, whilst she is in bed)

Yes she did. That she who she found them all having a get together when they’d told her they weren’t. It’s a bit odd that they just lived behind her house and Gemma didn’t already know them. I suppose if it’s like Corrie street the other woman never needs to leave her street for work or shopping etc

We live in very similar streets and I wouldn't know the people living behind me at all (apart from the odd glimpse through windows) though they do seem to use the back entry more on corrie than you would in rl

Tbh I didn’t actually think there was a street behind Corrie street. When ever we see anyone in the ginnel I never remember seeing gates or bins on the other side. Just the known characters side.

And now I’ve googled there are of course gates on both sides!

I also saw Kel who was Bernie’s boyfriend in an image. What ever happened with that story? Did he get prosecuted for abusing Paul?

The Kel story kind of just ended I think. Didn't he do a runner after Bernie pretended to be a kid?

It’s been so long I can hardly remember who owns or works on the Bistro now no familiar faces at all. The hairspray was making me itch, granted I’ve not used any since 1990 but her hair would be so crunchy! I can see this marriage lasting about 43seconds.

Poor Adam surely he would be de barred or whatever if it was found out he hid knowledge of this crime? Good job he doesn’t know there is a dead body in the house (or did they dig it up after someone crashed into the garage I lose track!)

I did find it ridiculous how they were discussing Gary having murdered someone. Either poor or covid acting not sure. They may as well have been saying 'Gary had an egg sandwich yesterday'

Gary always looks like he's eaten all the egg sandwiches, and has subsequent gas issues.

Well sarah and David haven’t been caught for their part in Callum’s death/coverup

I was thinking, yes, he'll surely be caught for it until smallsteps reminded me that Sarah and David weren't. Though they're popular characters so I suppose the producers had to think of anyway to keep them in the show! Definitely can't have David going away for 25+ years. He's one of the best ones! Gary, on the other hand, I wouldn't miss.

Yes their popularity saves them. Gary is not popular. We’re very happy to see him go away!

Was there ever an investigation into phelan murders? Dr Ali finished someone off, but he was nice really.

Unfortunately I feel they want to keep Gary, for some reason. So this story will go on for years. That annoying whispering voice, and awful shaved head.....

They completely ruined Dr Ali. He had potential to be a good character but he ended up drug addicted with ridiculous hair. Maybe the actor wanted out so they had to quickly write him out but his story was a real waste of time.
