Couldn't see a new thread so started this one. So we're now into a show of two halves, edited together - pre and post lockdown! Who's shouting "before" "after" at each scene?

Faye is looking very pretty, apropos of nothing.

I thought that about Faye. She's suddenly grown up and is very pretty!

Yes, I've realised that Faye has stopped looking like Seb! She looks like ... Faye.

Also I think the Faye actor has improved massively. Probably since she started doing scenes with the actors playing Sally / Tim / Geoff, who are all very good.

I'm assuming the announcement about " filming before coronavirus" was a mistake, as there were references throughout, notices in the background, and everyone sitting or standing apart.

Maybe it's a standard announcement?

I can't believe Faye is 18 - that time has flown by! I agree she's looking very pretty and hopefully is catching on to Geoff now too!

Fay asked Geoff about the argument and he said some woman coughed on him.
He lied to PC Haircut and Faye was in the doorway and heard him.
Faye told her dad and Sally, Geoff had lied and Sally told Tim , see even your Daughter says your dad lied.
Geoff arrived at the house and lied again and was cross at Sally.
The last scene was Geoff looking at Tim and Geoff looked worried.

They’ve done that ending with Tim looking doubtful and Geoff looking worried before. But he seems to have forgotten by the next episodes!

I think Tim has a very short memory!

I saw the catch-up. Yes, lots of meaningful looks!

Tim would have no reason to doubt Faye as she really loves her grandad and is very defensive of him. So she has absolutely no reason to lie about this. But nice but Dim won’t be able to work that out before his defensive reflex kicks in. Can understand it being hard for him though, suddenly being told his mum wasn’t who he thought she was and never died. That’s a hard one to face.

Re Tim's birth certificate, if his dad remarried and Tess officially adopted him with Jeff he'd have a new adoptive certificate

But wouldn’t that say that it was an adoption certificate though?

I wonder why Geoff told Tim she was dead. Knowing Geoff, it would make more sense if he'd told him she had just cleared off and abandoned them both, because she didn't want either of them.

Geoff really is cruel, the lives he has messed up with his mind games. I don't understand what detective hairstyle will do with the information she's gathering, but I hope elaine is ok.

The reference to being filmed before Covid changes was referring to the new Manchester area lockdown restrictions

Possibly/probably to prevent Tim ever trying to look for her.

I think it must be quite easy for the police to trace a person if they have her original name, new name, age etc? Would they have a database that could do that? It would at least prove Geoff lies about his wife dying.

I think Detective Amazing-Fringe will be making further enquiries. Tim's mum is presumably drawing a pension, on the social security database for the UK under one name or the other.

Sally's hair is in need of a trim, detective does her own fringe!

i'm getting confused with geoffs wives.
i thought pippa was tess and geoff had changed her name, and she was his first wife and yasmeen was his second but maybe i'm wrong.

yasmeen third wife, i'm confusing myself even more now
as anyone else noticed how their hair and make up isn't as perfect now they are haveing to do it themselves

I don't understand why there were references to Tim's mum ''dying before he was even born. '' How did he not question this before. Yes it may be possible for an unborn baby to survive a mother dying these days but not 50 years ago?

A bit strange that Tim presumably grew up with no family at all on either parents side, to tell him about his mother.

I couldn’t believe it when sally said ‘she’s 18!’ about Faye. When did that happen?!

I miss all the older people, Rita, Ken,Audrey etc. I wonder if any of the younger cast have health issues that keep them away.
Tim must surely be coming round to realising his dad is not all that pleasant, absolute horror would take longer.
