Anyone watching? The Sydney couple are never going to last. She’s so annoying, surely just on it to get on tv??

Have their ever been a couple from these shows that have stayed married?

Hate the phrase "Happy wife, happy life". Placate the empty-headed little woman, give her shiny little trinkets, and she'll be totally satisfied and won't go into one of her unreasonable rages at you. So condescending.

I don’t think Nadia thinks it’s normal at all. The look on her face when he said “She’s mine” said it all. I think she might be a bit frightened of him and is sticking it out to keep the peace and for the money. I bet she’s counting the days until it’s over.

I think this, too. She is not comfortable with him at all, but for whatever reason doesn't want to leave. Maybe it's the money, maybe she's hoping to get TV work (or more "modelling"), but I don't think she likes being with him. Sh just doesn't want to make waves. He's nasty enough when he's getting his own way - we've seen how blooming awful he is when he isn't ("Frigid" - what a drongo!). I think she just keeps telling herself that the end is in sight.

I'm another DH who's been sucked into this. I normally hate this sort of thing but it's got be hooked. Although last night DW and i were both saying it's starting to drag a bit now, you can see the ones who just want to be on the TV by saying Stay even though they clearly don't fancy their partners.

Plus the "experts" are thickos

Yes to people wanting airtime. Cheryl, Shazza, Nadia, Anthony and maybe some of the others all come across as people who want media ‘careers’. Influencers or whatever.

And to this list I would add Abandrew, who is obviously hoping to be "discovered" as a singer/songwriter - which is why his crap songs are everywhere.

This is what makes him dangerous. Inside he's a frightened bully who has huge doubts about himself - but he doesn't accept any responsibility for his own behaviour.

He's spiteful to people he perceives as weaker than him (Cheryl), fawning and frighted of those he perceives as stronger (Cheryl's bombastic, wealthy dad), and "matey" to people he wants to get onside/ impress.

There have been a couple of moments where there has been a flash of real rage flicker across his face, and I honestly think he would be very capable of beating a woman up and then telling her "If you hadn't done X this wouldn't have happened." I wouldn't want my DD anywhere either him of Spoonface Anthony - I think they are both dangerous men in their different ways. I doubt that Spoonface would raise a hand (though I may be wrong) but he would gradually and deliberately destroy a woman's soul.

Wow that’s quite an assumption to make about Abandrew @SchadenfreudePersonified 😬 he mentors kids and is a firefighter... I know that doesn’t mean he’s not capable of violence but it seem quite a jump. I agree with Honeyroar, I think he’s insecure and upset and trying to make himself feel better with a bit of misguided male bonding.

I'd refer to Anthony as a massive cock but he'd probably take it as a compliment. He is utterly vile.

When Susan and her hair flowers tried to apologise to the twins (not that she needed to) and was completely steamrolled by Sharon, I just wanted to give Susan a big hug. "Michelle is certainly not a bully. And I am certainly not a bully." Can you not see that you're doing the bullying now, love? Sharon is either completely oblivious to her Mean Girls behaviour or somehow thinks she's entitled to behave like that.

Well, I take back everything I ever said about Abandrew being hot. What a massive tool! Spoony is a nasty, manipulative bully and Nick is a classless thicko.

Simon, Sean and pick-up-truck-Andrew are lovely men. The longer the series goes on the more I fancy Simon. He's a real catch.

I don't like Cheryl and wish she didn't get so much airtime, but she didn't deserve that behaviour from the man-child and his enablers.

I wish they'd shown more of the women's conversations and not just focussed on Cheryl.

I think tonight will be more contrived drama with Cheryl’s dad being an extra dickhead on top of the regular dickhead men! They’ve only brought the families in to fan the flames. These experts are pretty disgusting people really- much worse than any of the “contestants” in the “experiment”/humiliation.

I was really shocked that the girls and boys nights seemed to be all about Abandrew and Cheryl!

I don't think Andrew is so horrible, I just think he is very rudeabd a bit stupid not to see how it looks. We saw 10 minutes of the combined nights out so maybe they did talk about a lot of other stuff but the producers 'carefully crafted' it to look like Cheryl and Andrew were the only topic!

I was disappointed Simon didn't say something as well as Sean.

I'm not sure Army Andrew and Jesse were really joining in. I think it was all Andrew, Anthony and Nick.

I think this too. It's funny how we're all seeing Abandrew differently. I think he picks on people he sees as weaker or inferior eg the bouncer, Cherly. He didn't know how to respond to Cheryl's DF because he's older, richer and isn't impressed by what Abandrew has to offer ie firefighting and rubbish songs I'm disappointed the experts didn't pull him up on going to the gym and being late for meeting Cheryl's dad, and then criticising Cheryl's driving. Those actions showed that he wasn't being a considerate partner and had already checked out even before he met Cheryl's DF.
I'm not seeing any redeeming features with Abandrew at all. At least Anthony apologised for being a bullying arse at the dinner party. Abandrew doesn't even have the self-awareness for that.
DS (12) saw parts of the boys' night last night. He was appalled by Abandrew and the 'lads'. We had a long chat about how to act in that kind of situation and how to extricate yourself from it.

I'm watching, kind of... I just can't believe how much they drag out a season - there are far too many episodes! And these commitment ceremonies and dinner parties must take hours, I'd be knackered and bored to tears having to sit through all that.

I think they get paid Aus$200 for every day they stay in it or something (doesn’t sound like that much for what they have to go through).

That sounds like something I'd do in my twenties to earn money and get TV exposure.

Thought it was mostly silly tonight. At lees store we didn’t have to endure Cheryl’s dad!

I read an article online that said where they all are now, that combined with knowing they are paid to stay has kind of ruined it for me. Not sure I’ll even watch the rest and I was hooked.
