Anyone watching? The Sydney couple are never going to last. She’s so annoying, surely just on it to get on tv??

Have their ever been a couple from these shows that have stayed married?

I liked what stripper boy said to the experts too.

Cheryl’s dad seems to think he’s being funny, I think. I had an ex boyfriend with a dad like that. He came round to my parents house once and started straightening pictures on the wall. My mum was livid!

I mixed up the twins again in an earlier post!!

I do wonder how you can have a relationship with so many people there. In one episode the camera person panned really quickly and you saw that there were at least two other people with him. Hard to have an in depth conversation or be romantic like that, esp if you're as self-conscious as Army Andrew and Simon.

Honeyroar · 18/07/2020 10:08

The experts were talking about the twins comparing themselves and saying it’s really bad to compare your relationship to someone else’s, yet they deliberately put them at the dinner party so they do!

Cheryl's dad is obviously a bit of an arse and I apologise on his behalf for all Scots. Having said that, it's fairly obvious that the producers are setting Cheryl up as the star of the show and her dad has been asked to exaggerate his behaviour for the drama. Andrew is a total pillock and acts like a spoilt child.

Joyeuse · 18/07/2020 10:29

I agree that Cheryl's dad seems controlling.
Her demeanour before they set off from hers when Abandrew was a few minutes behind schedule, and her impatient driving made me feel like there would be hell to pay if they were late. I was glad Abandrew drew attention to the fact young children were witnessing how Hamish was treating him.
I did feel sorry for Cheryl at the dinner party again.

SpanishFly · 18/07/2020 11:35

I was really pleased that the experts noted how badly Andrew was treating cheryl and that he wasnt taking any of the blame at all for how they were working out.

Also - did nobody else pick up on Anthony saying that it annoyed him a bit that Nadia's got a problem with intimacy yet didnt have a problem with it previously with other people?! 😳

AnneOfQueenSables · 18/07/2020 11:57

Cheryl’s dad seems to think he’s being funny yy I think the chippiness would have dissolved into humour in normal circumstances.
I did wonder if Abandrew was threatened by Cheryl having a nice townhouse, etc. I'm not sure it's what he expected for a 25-yr-old. He seems to expect her to be easily impressed and seeing her lifestyle undermined the ways he can impress her.
I love Aline and Simon. They're the only ones I want to make it through.
Jesse deserves better as does ArmyAndrew.
I hope the experts highlight what a horrible little man Abandrew has been at the commitment ceremony and make it clear he was the one who refused to talk and moved out. Oh and I hope Sean calls out the twins for their bullying response to Susan.

SpanishFly · 18/07/2020 12:01

I wonder what Cheryl's family do. That was a very expensive GC property they live in, right on the edge of the water!

RandomMess · 18/07/2020 12:03

I get the impression that some of these "men" have dated/ slept with girls that were impressed by their looks/body when they had their "wine goggles" on. They seem confused that they are matched with women that what to get to know them and need to be attracted to them as people when they are sober as well as drunk.

These dinner parties seem to have loads of alcohol flowing - again to loosen tongues and add to the drama 🙄

Italiangreyhound · 18/07/2020 12:09

ILikeTrains spot on with your analysis.

SchadenfreudePersonified "Jesse is far to good for Michelle - and I think he's starting to realise it. Good. She would milk him dry and throw away the husk."

Had to chuckle!

I get why Susan, Sean, Albee, Simon, Vanessa and Andrew went on the show. Maybe even Nick. But for most of them they are too young to be doing this. I do think it's TV exposure. Maybe there is something they want aside from love!

Italiangreyhound · 18/07/2020 12:34

Honeyroar 'Susan is very honest and truthful. I admired her for speaking to the twins.' I agree but i felt Sharon turned it on it's head accepting Susan's apology while being nasty. She did have a point the Michelle had kind of got tarred with the same brush.

"You can see she’s much sharper and has more self assurance than her twin, who just sits behind her!" I agree Sharon is the more dominant one and quite a scary person. I've seen a much nastier side to her. I felt sorry she got stuck with nasty Nick But now I think maybe it-s fair. She would have eaten Jesse for breakfast. Michelle has a chance with Jesse buy I think she will blow it. I think so will Alene and Vanessa.

I now think Jesse and Michelle are the only ones with any chance.

What's a GC property.

Gold Coast

RandomMess · 18/07/2020 12:47

See I got the twins mixed up
😂

SchadenfreudePersonified · 18/07/2020 13:17

I mixed up the twins again in an earlier post!!

They are easy to tell apart.

The smug one is Shazza (or possibly Michelle).

The miserable one is 'Shell (or possibly Sharon)

Hope this helps Grin

Italiangreyhound · 18/07/2020 13:24

The loud one is Shazza. The one constantly wondering what Shazza is going, is Michelle!

Italiangreyhound · 18/07/2020 13:27

Up to not going!

The one constantly wondering what Shazza is up to, is Michelle!

RavenT · 18/07/2020 13:29

Cheryl is one of ten children her father has, so assume the younger boys at the house were her brothers,... His behaviour was appalling, I am starting to feel really sorry Cheryl.

I am becoming obsessed with this programme, hate the weekends when it's not on!

Eaumyword · 18/07/2020 13:41

Just caught up with last night's dinner party episode and can't believe it's not on until Monday! TV gold!

RozHuntleysStump · 18/07/2020 14:02

I can’t wait till bloody Monday! 😭😭

AnneOfQueenSables · 18/07/2020 14:20

I can't decide if any of the twins are genuine. At first I thought both of them were there to try to get a TV career. Then I thought Sharon was genuine and Michelle just applied because she can't bear to let Sharon do anything on her own...Now I switch back and forwards between those two views.
I loved Nick's mini caravan with the pull-out grill. I really want one 😀

Honeyroar · 18/07/2020 14:29

I wanted to see how he fitted in it! He’s so tall and it was tiny!

OP posts:
KurriKawari · 18/07/2020 15:02

Michelle has a more soft and rounded face than Sharon. Sharon is also more confident and outspoken. She also runs the business that Michelle works for.

SchadenfreudePersonified · 18/07/2020 15:24

Just watched Susan apologising to the twins - Sharon then attacked her verbally "I am not a bully!" (she said, in a bullying fashion)

The twins have no insight into what absolute cows they are.

Sharon "forgave" Susan because she apologised - but still couldn't see that she had done anything wrong or inappropriate,

I disliked Cheryl, but I'm feeling sorry for her now - everyone is treating her badly. "Jonesy" is a git - Lauren was wise to dodge that bullet. He throws the blame for everything onto Cheryl - no responsibility for his own actions and petty manipulative behaviour. The twins and Anthony treat him like some poor, badly done to little angel, but he is cold and controlling

Anthony is increasingly proving to be sly, manipulative and vindictive and determined to stir up trouble between the couples. I think Nadia is wise to keep him at arm's length. I know people here think she's boring, but I think she is being diplomatic. For whatever reason she isn't saying what she thinks. Sometimes her face speaks volumes but sh doesn't say anything negative. I don't think she's frightened of him, but I think she is wary because he twists situations and words to suit his own agenda. I think he's actually dangerous, He doesn't like Nadia making decisions or disagreeing with him. He doesn't like that she won't be physically intimate with him. I think he resents that she is not letting him control her and he'll fight to bring her to heel - and then he'll dump on her. He HAS to be the one in control. He won't let her decide whether or not the experiment continues. It'll be him. And he'll be nasty.

AnneOfQueenSables · 18/07/2020 15:24

@honeyroar yy me too! Never mind the fairy lights and possums, show me the bed and internal storage! Grin
