I keep finding stuff that’s ok but not that memorable.

Can be anything - comedy/drama/thriller. Open to subtitles.

Thanks!

@TheCanterburyWhales soooo much better when they are talking their native Spanish we used to laugh at the Professor now I quite fancy him when he’s all Spanish. DD1 sobbed at the end of Season 2 never seen her like that before.

Bella Ciao Bella Ciao Bella Ciao Ciao Ciao!

birthdaybelle · 17/06/2020 00:23

In Limbo on BBC

birthdaybelle · 17/06/2020 01:09

And "when they see us" simply amazing. and "a fall from Grace" was also very good but in a sort of silly escapism thriller kind of way

MarshaBradyo · 17/06/2020 01:15

Chernobyl

Also liked Unorthodox

CrowdedHouseinQuarantine · 17/06/2020 09:58

I recommend Giri/Haji
so good

TheCanterburyWhales · 17/06/2020 10:04

SweetKitty- me too! And I hated Tokyo in English but I quite like her now Grin
Have you seen the documentary? It's cool (don't watch if you haven't seen all seasons though as there are spoilers)

Thisisworsethananticpated · 18/06/2020 22:20

Giri Haji

Just loved it ! Japanese British crime family drama

Trust me !

Thisisworsethananticpated · 18/06/2020 22:31

Oops everyone’s recommended it

I have watched a lot in lockdown and that was my top 1

Really trying to get DS into schitts creek
Can you tell me why it gets better ?

heinztomatosoup · 18/06/2020 23:02

Das Boot
Series 2 just came out on channel 4, go back to watch first series of you can first. It is the most tense, gripping thriller I have seen for ages.

Dickorydockwhatthe · 18/06/2020 23:04

This is us amazing!!

Skyliner001 · 18/06/2020 23:06

Nightcrawler

IDidntChoseThePondLife · 24/06/2020 16:28

I loved the original Das Boot @ heinztomatosoup but found the second series far too violent. Couldn't get passed what happend to the poor barmaid. (won't go into further detail so as not to 'spoil')

TheVanguardSix · 24/06/2020 16:37

I May Destroy You on BBC iplayer (6 episodes available). Just brilliant. I can't take my eyes off Michaela Coel.
Shtisel (Netflix) I love this! It's like a Haredi Jewish Soap and there are lots of 'lump in the throat' moments. Beautifully done!
Vietnam- a documentary by Ken Burns on Netflix. Fuuuuuck. Soul destroying. Beautiful. Just makes you pretty much question everything.

GregoryGrainneog · 24/06/2020 16:47

Inhuman Resources
Workin' Moms
Money Heist
The Woods
Schitts Creek
The Morning Show
Umbre
I rewatched The Sopranos- still the best IMO.
Great thread, I'm taking notes.

shartsi · 24/06/2020 16:57

Just binged 2 seasons of Younger on sky/ comedy central in one day. It was proper laugh out loud funny. Wish I could find seasons 3 to 6.

Emmapeeler1 · 24/06/2020 17:01

CurrerBell1979 · 25/06/2020 22:39

Somethingkindaoooo · 25/06/2020 22:42

@BreathlessCommotion

This is Us on Prime.
Yes
Thisisworsethananticpated · 26/06/2020 11:39

I am finding This is Us a bit draining

It series 2 and waiting for the disaster to occur

The parents are TOO in love
And the trauma ! The trauma !
God - makes me worry about my
Kids and what the fuck I am going to them Grin

motheroftwoboys · 26/06/2020 17:51

Ride Upon the Storm on All4 - two seasons
The Bureau - Amazon (French, with subtitles)

I have been told that 'Halt & Catch Fire" on Netflix is meant to be really good (four seasons)

user1471592953 · 04/07/2020 18:00

Ride Upon The Storm and State of Happiness on iPlayer. In Danish and Norwegian respectively with subtitles.
