I keep finding stuff that’s ok but not that memorable.

Can be anything - comedy/drama/thriller. Open to subtitles.

Thanks!

The Tunnel, by far the best thing I have watched on lockdown.

SlatternIsMyMiddleName · 11/06/2020 15:56

Oh, and Brassic. Very funny.

IcedPurple · 11/06/2020 19:18

Giri/Haji
Netflix
Japanese crime/drama few subtitles but I really enjoyed it

Giri/Haji was fab.

Didn't hurt that Kenzo was quite the dish.

For those who enjoyed little fires everywhere, you need to get on Big Little Lies!

Squaffle · 12/06/2020 10:24

'The Night Of' has just come back on to Now TV, one of the best things I have ever seen.

I started watching Caliphate based on this thread and wow it is good. I am absolutely hooked - it oozes quality. Thanks to all who recommended it.

I'm also looking forward to Girl/Haji - that looks super.

Lots of great programmes mentioned here. Has anyone watched Daughters of Destiny on Netflix? I watched episode 1 last night and was so enthralled by it. Can't wait to watch a few more episodes tonight! It's 8.5 on IMDB if that carries any influence for you....!

rosegoldwatcher · 12/06/2020 20:12

Will definitely watch Caliphate. I had seen this on my Netflix 'recommend for you' thing but had not realised that it was partially set in Sweden. (I LOVE listening to that language!)

Anyone who has access to Amazon Prime will find all seven series of Beck for free. Movie length episodes, police procedural, set in Stockholm. The series ran from 1997 to 2018, production values increased as time went on. V. attractive policeman (sidekick to Beck) played by Mikael Persbrandt. In series 6 and 7 Mikael was replaced by Kristofer Hivju - he who played both twins in the recent BBC4 series Twin.

Following.
I stared watching Ozark a year ago and gave up after two episodes. I started again on it last week and am hooked.

I've just started 13 reasons why.. is very good so far.
The last dance is great and quite interesting and I'm not a basketball fan.

Normal people was amazing and left me thinking about it for days.

mammmamia · 12/06/2020 23:43

Another vote for Unorthodox!

Also, Never Have I Ever in Netflix. So bittersweet.

I’ve watched two episodes of White Lines. Not loving it. The acting and script are pretty ropey. Does it get better?

ineedaholidaynow · 12/06/2020 23:46
