I keep finding stuff that’s ok but not that memorable.

Can be anything - comedy/drama/thriller. Open to subtitles.

Thanks!

Unorthodox was brilliant.
Finished Gangs of London last week. Gruesome and a little bit out there but really enjoyed it.
The Stranger on Netflix had me hooked.

normalpeeps · 04/06/2020 23:52

The Jeffrey Epstein: Filthy Rich documentary on Netflix. 4 eps.

Just over halfway through it - it is unbelievable what happened, and worse still how it was covered up. The corruptness if the American police and legal system etc. etc. What money, power and connections can get you even when you are an evil grotesque peadophile.

I didn't know the story in much detail but this has really shocked me.

Unorthodox on Netflix, and Normal People and State of Happiness on BBC. SoH is a Norwegian drama based in 1960s when oil was found in Norway, and the effect on the locals etc, really excellent.

Next up I want to watch Twins on BBC and Little Fires Everywhere on Prime.

Money heist on Netflix

drigon · 05/06/2020 02:10

Yes, @Beachcomber, Inhuman Resources was excellent! Who knew Éric Contona was such a good actor?

drigon · 05/06/2020 02:12

Oh yes, just saw The Disaster Artist on Prime, belly laughs guaranteed! Recommended.

Nellydean21 · 05/06/2020 02:35

Caliphate on Netflix. Outstanding.

Scunnered77 · 05/06/2020 02:56

The Missing on Amazon Prime. Both series 1 and 2 were gripping.

whattodo1976 · 05/06/2020 05:45

Russian Doll
The Wrong Missy
Self Made- The Life of CJ Walker

All on Netflix

queenofmycastlex · 05/06/2020 06:04

Gangs of London On Sky and Dark on Netflix

Dark is subtitled but it’s the best television I have ever seen by far

Scotinengland76 · 05/06/2020 06:47

Oh and Servant on Apple TV was very good. It deserves a wider audience

Talulahoopla · 05/06/2020 07:57

Last Kingdom on Netflix. First box set in a while where we've wanted to watch episode after episode. Some really good characters with particularly strong leading women which was great to watch.

FTMF30 · 05/06/2020 14:48

@LunaHardy You are certainly right. It's important to face up to these uncomfortable truths. I'm privileged enough to switch off when it gets too much. It's heartbreaking that those things actually happened to those boys in real life.

Standrewsschool · 05/06/2020 17:42

Mallory Towers on BBC iplayer.

Dingdong99 · 05/06/2020 18:25

I don't get the shitz creek thing. A few of my friends love it but I couldn't get passed the first episode, thought it was dreadful

Does it get better? How many episodes should I give it if so?

MrsHoolie · 05/06/2020 18:43

'Last Breath' on Netflix.

I know you asked for a drama/series but this documentary is a must see. So gripping!

ageingdisgracefully · 05/06/2020 18:45

I'm into those never-ending Netflix documentaries at the moment. I've seen Making a Murderer, Keepers and Staircase.

I'm on the Madeline McCann one now. Nearly finished.

DrCoconut · 05/06/2020 18:45

Unorthodox was very engaging and thought provoking.

BumpkinSpiceBatty · 05/06/2020 18:50

The Tunnel.

3 series, absolutely brilliant. Don’t know how I missed it first time round.

BrokenBrit · 06/06/2020 09:19

This is us on Amazon prime is a fantastic series. I’ve never been so invested in the characters.
Also Downton Abbey if you didn’t watch it first time or want a second go. It’s just glorious.
