Maybe Ingrid secretly regretted marrying Adam instead of Erik?

Adam seemed the boring stable one with flat hair

Earlier on in this thread I did suggest that Ingrid only married Adam because Erik went off to ??? for surfing leaving her behind. And as she was probably pregnant and had no expectation of Erik coming back and / or being responsible, though best option to marry Adam. (And only other child is adopted)

And think last saturday's plot lines confirm that! (IMO)

Ooh this episode is so awkward. Adam just looks so surprised all the time!

I thought in the first episode that the beardy guy who co-runs the hotel/restaurant with Ingrid seemed a bit, er, friendly with Adam. Seems that I was right and they were planning a future of some sort together, so the deception isn't going to work for much longer. Everyone's starting to pick up on all the holes in the false Adam's persona.

Well, I got that one wrong. Except maybe for Ingrid marrying the wrong one.

Interesting! So Erik deliberately slept with Ingrid and that's why Adam beat him up? I'm guessing Karin is Erik's daughter and they could not get pregnant again so adopted. Maybe they both secretly knew Karin wasn't Adam's.

It's a crazy story but I find it gripping - many sad lives.

But does this mean that Erik is only just twigging that Karin must be his daughter?

So annoyed- I missed the bit in the church! Can anyone tell me the big reveal? I think I missed something important there!

He'd had depression or something, and the Minister had been there to support him. We also found out that their father had been away at sea a lot, their mother descended into alcoholism, and they or Erik, at least, didn't want to have anything to do with her.

Surely the big reveal was that Adam was or might nearly have been a closted homesexual! And the beardy man was more interested in him than Ingrid...

Anyhow the daughter so obviously knows that this isn't Adam. What with his big speech at the school and then being tricked into pretending he remembered a holiday they had nearly had.

Think the young policeman is going to work it out.

I think the surfing place is Unstad and the hotel bits were filmed in Sakrisøy, so they’re not a huge distance apart in terms of miles. (Someone further up was asking.)

I was the one asking. There are surf schools at Unstad, no surprise I suppose. Google maps says its 69.2 km and 1 hr 21 by the fastest route.

Although the islands will have small populations and they are all outdoorsy types, I think it would be possible to avoid someone if you chose to do so at that distance.

The place where the police are is Svolvaer (they said this and I made a note : invested!). That looks pretty far away on Google Maps.

Why big Beards? I was going to say because they were of Viking stock, but I am not sure if the Vikings went that far north.

I guess Young Adam came home and found Young Eric shagging Young Ingrid while pretending to be him, and that was when they had the massive falling out. And presumably she gets pregnant with Karin at the same time?

Yup, beautiful scenery, but I'd blow my brains out if I had to live there. So depressing. No wonder the teens are all off their faces!

I enjoyed it, but found it extremely far-fetched. Why on earth would they think that not confessing at the start would lead to a better outcome
