Have no idea what it will be like, but will be interested to watch as I dont think I can cope with any more repeats of Montalbano!

I'm still on teenage daughter ending up poorly in need of a medical intervention. Still down that rabbit hole. Grin

It is a bit far fetched.... but I'll stick with it.

JemimaTab · 12/04/2020 17:43

oohnicevase you can change the settings on Netflix to get subtitles instead of dubbing (I did this as I can’t stand dubbing either).

JemimaTab · 12/04/2020 17:44

It is a bit daft, but I’m enjoying it. The scenery is spectacular.

rosegoldwatcher · 12/04/2020 18:30

When I saw the thread title in Telly Addicts I knew you would be the OP @stumbledin!
Watched 1&2 but not yet 3&4 so am trying to blur my eyes at everyones comments. Liking it so far; as you say, anything is an improvement of Montalbano!
Main actor - mad wildling in Game of Thrones who quite fancied the very tall blonde warrior woman and also strangely attractive detective in the last few episodes of Beck.
(If anyone here doesn't know Beck - it's really good and all seasons available on Amazon Prime now.)

Piggywaspushed · 12/04/2020 18:34

I am enjoying it, although I though Ep 3 was ploddy.

When did we find out the policeman was the little girl's brother??

Is anyone on here watching Trapped?

rosegoldwatcher · 12/04/2020 18:39

I've seen Trapped series 1 and 2. Is there a new one?

AnyFucker · 12/04/2020 18:41

.

Piggywaspushed · 12/04/2020 18:46

No,I'm just a bit new to the whole streaming thing!!

JemimaTab · 12/04/2020 19:02

I thought the policeman was the girl's father? He referred to his wife having died.

DramaAlpaca · 12/04/2020 19:04

I only just about made it to the end of episode one. It's not for me, too far fetched. But the scenery almost made it worth watching.

Piggywaspushed · 12/04/2020 19:23

Me too jemima. I am sure we are correct!

Halsall · 12/04/2020 20:01

Yes, the policeman is the little girl's father. And I'm relieved to have had it confirmed that the older man is the wife's father, that was bugging me all through the first two episodes!

Peregrina · 14/04/2020 09:49

I also wondered at times if it was meant to be a comedy.

I did like the line when Karin said to her Dad, as she thought, "I saw Erik." He replied, still in the persona of Adam, "That's me you saw." Perfectly true, as it happened!

As for the Policeman taking her home - perhaps in a very small community, they do things like that?

But then in a small community, how do you avoid a brother for 15 years? Having said that, coming from small towns myself, I do know families where the members are estranged and do manage to avoid each other.

Piggywaspushed · 14/04/2020 09:52

Isn't the actual surfing community meant to actually be some distance from Adam's place?

Peregrina · 14/04/2020 10:27

I didn't catch the names of the two places, otherwise we could look them up on google maps.

Piggywaspushed · 14/04/2020 10:37

I feel like the policeman's patch is Erik's old stomping ground and that he is not the local Bobby for Adam's patch. The guy who owned the motorhome was somewhere in the middle of the two? But it is a bit blurry.

What I didn't catch was how when the police turned up to ask questions/ arrange identification , everyone already knew 'Erik' was dead when I don't recall them at any point being told?

grafittiartist · 14/04/2020 12:23

I hope that the policeman stays as a good guy!
I can't believe that no one has realised yet- especially the kids!
Stunning setting- and I love their
house.

Peregrina · 14/04/2020 15:02

I suppose everyone had seen Adam round and about, and no-one had seen Erik for ages, so they jumped to the conclusion that when a body turned up, it must have been Erik.

Blondeshavemorefun · 17/04/2020 15:31

So from the Clip the wife was actually dating the Erik as a teenager ?

But Marrys Adam

I think the daughter had a clue when Erik rescued her from the sea in the surf board

Bet her dad Adam never surfed

Blondeshavemorefun · 17/04/2020 15:33

Guess as Erik caravan in sea you would assume it was him not twin

Think the middle bearded bloke feels bad as tech His fault that Erik died not knowing it was Adam

Assume by end they know they have swapped

Unless Erik then happy to play ADAM

And wife doesn’t seem bothered she killed her hubby

Peregrina · 17/04/2020 16:13

I think Adam was supposed to have surfed as a young man, but presumably gave up so the daughter doesn't know this, or at least knows that he wouldn't be good enough to rescue someone.

I think the wife is bothered that she killed her husband, but more to save her own skin. Why on earth not just say they were having a fight, he got knocked on the head, it was an accident? (No story, that's why, and that's why I don't write fiction!)

But hey, it's on again tomorrow.

Piggywaspushed · 17/04/2020 16:24

They definitely both surfed : it was the first thing we saw in Episode 1.

Adam obviously stole thingy off Erik while Erik was in Indonesia.

What is Thingy called? can't store any Scandinavian names! Everyone in Trapped is thingy too!

TheMadGardener · 17/04/2020 18:06

Ingrid, isn't she?

I'm loving this even though it is silly. DD1 and I are wishing we'd waited till the whole series was on iPlayer so we could have binged the whole thing instead of having to wait to see what happens next!

Piggywaspushed · 17/04/2020 18:21

I remembered Ingrid straight after I posted, in my defence!
The policeman is still thingie though...

Peregrina · 17/04/2020 22:43

The Policeman is Frank.

It's my guess that after the autopsy they will find out something like Adam has had some sort of operation like having an appendix out, but Erik's medical records don't have any record of this. Cue a few more lies about maybe it happened when he was in Indonesia, so it won't show up on his Norwegian records.
