*emotionally

I vaguely wondered if K's wallet might have (also) had some random evidence/memento/trinkety thing of the connection between father K and son K, but would assassins and the like keep baby pics in their wallets? Somehow, I doubt it... Hmm

NewModelArmyMayhem18 · 25/05/2020 08:56

Have we ever seen Konstantin kill anyone (struggles to think that we have?).

echt · 25/05/2020 09:02

Has anyone seen episode 7? It's shown Mondays midday in Australia so I caught it this afternoon.

More silly reversals than an Archers plot line. And a very sad bit.

But I do like Caroline's house.

NewModelArmyMayhem18 · 25/05/2020 09:06

@echt I thought episode 7 would be available to watch on IPlayer last night but disappointingly it wasn't. Will watch it in realtime tonight.

echt · 25/05/2020 09:12

I will keep my trap shut. :o

Watching it again now.

Blondeshavemorefun · 25/05/2020 09:18

It’s on iPlayer Monday. Not sure what time it appears mins past midnight ?

I’ve downloaded and will watch tonight at work

Just finished it. It always comes up on iplayer 6am.
I adore Kim Bodnia and have never seen The Bridge
If I buy it on prime will there be English subtitles does anyone know?

NewModelArmyMayhem18 · 25/05/2020 09:53

Oh love Kim Bodnia too @RobuxBriberyIsMyLifeNow. The Bridge does have English sub-titles but be warned, it is very dark indeed.

CornishPolastri · 25/05/2020 14:26

I’ve just dipped me toe in this series.

I’ve enjoyed the first two but am getting driven nuts by characters slurping drinks, gulping and chewing noisily.

I’m absolutely missing the point here I know but it is spoiling it for me massively.

If I was villanelle I wouldn’t need a contract to get rid. They’d be getting bumped for that alone. For nowt. No fancy frock, apartment, nothing.

NewModelArmyMayhem18 · 25/05/2020 14:31

Eve just doesn't strike me as a binge junk food eater. I was horrified in the first episode when she was buying so much 'tat' in the Korean supermarket.

Love your user name @CornishPolastri!

IntermittentParps · 25/05/2020 14:42

Eve just doesn't strike me as a binge junk food eater. I was horrified in the first episode when she was buying so much 'tat' in the Korean supermarket.

I guess that was meant to show how far she's fallen and how much events have upset and traumatised her.

CornishPolastri · 25/05/2020 14:44

Thank you. Smile

I’m not Cornish. I don’t eat polastries.

But I love pies. Eaten quietly. Grin

NewModelArmyMayhem18 · 25/05/2020 14:44

I agree @IntermitentParps. It was particularly funny when she was hoovering up the crisps in the journos' office t'other week.

Crinkle77 · 25/05/2020 18:31

@echt yes I've just watched it. After the brilliant episode of last week I was just disappointed and we're still no where nearer to finding out what the hell is going on.

LatinforTelly · 25/05/2020 20:40

Agree this series doesn't have the wit or plot of the first, in particular. I missed that we knew Konstantin was the one nicking the money until a PP summarised it up there ^^.

Loved, "Are you comparing yourself to a carrot, Geraldine?" Grin

RobuxBriberyIsMyLifeNow · 25/05/2020 22:33

Well that was me surmising latin - Steve Pemberton, shady Mi6 guy working for the 12, said as much when he said find who ordered hit on accountant's wife, that's the embezzler. You'd need a decent amount of cash to be able to run, hide and stay protected in Cuba.
I am expecting more deaths all round and Konstantin's daughter to take over Villanelle's role mentored by a substitute Dasha for the 12.

Sarahlou63 · 25/05/2020 22:42

Nico. Dead, not dead. Dacha. Dead, not dead. Konstantine. Dead, not dead. Wonder if Kenny will pop up in the final episode?!?

RobuxBriberyIsMyLifeNow · 25/05/2020 22:44

Although why Konstantin would have turned his daughter into psych testing/detention centre makes little sense. They were going to be on the run/in hiding/new identities anyway....I assume the plan was she would be with him getting cash from Scotland and meeting up with V there and having police looking for his kid would put the kibosh on that. Unless he had every plan to leave her anyway now seeing her as a liability/knowing she was villanellesque.
You'd think out of all people, Konstantin as a handler would know how to deal with an unwanted corpse or of people who could dispose of an accidental dead body making it hard to find or look like an RTA elsewhere or that he'd left for another woman etc

RobuxBriberyIsMyLifeNow · 25/05/2020 22:48

Well, yes sarah When I say deaths all round next week, am hoping a few more stick. Faking their own deaths to move on, leaving a clue for Eve and a comeback for the series in 10 years time will stick in my craw.

CatAndHisKit · 25/05/2020 23:30

Finally a (mostly) great episode! Was hoping it would pick up after the last two - now back to action and a proper pace.
V is more her usual self again, there is a rervival of flirting with Eve too - and enough surprises. I did think at the start that Dasha, and probably K will end up dead by the end of it. But yes, sarah that was the only thing I winced at - yet it very well done with that laughter bouncing from K to Dasha! enhoyed that.

Of course D now knows that Vilanelle wants to leave - all that subterfuge is down the drain now (she wasn't supposed to let on), but I suppose the 12 were not watching her or where she would be going thinking Dasha is with her and supervising.

But it's shit for V now - as the elopement with K didn't work out due to his heart attack (that was SO obviously coming for a while) yet Dasha will report to the 12 that V and K were about to escape. Shit for K too.

Carolyn's daughter is insufferable with her ridiculous screeching and emotrions - more of a caricature of a character. Thank God also we didn't see much of Ks daughter, don't like her but unfortunately she's bound to feature as another assasin later, I'm sure.

Loved this ep also as there was a lot of quality Carolyn footage - including a great kick at the ceramics Grin. But how the heck will she get the info now?

Crinkle77 · 25/05/2020 23:36

I was disappointed when Dasha was there at the end. She's an awful character and was hoping she'd be gone. Also as if they'd end up next to each other in the hossy.

CatAndHisKit · 25/05/2020 23:54

Crinkle the series is littered with such coincidences though - I'm used to it and almost expect that. I did expect at leat one of the two to die - they always make it so convincing that characters aer dying, but nothing could beat Nico and his convulsions slowing to a halt!

Not sure why they kept Dasha alive - I think as someone has to tell the 12 that V and K have been plotting against the 12. Now of course the 12 can suspect K re stealing their money. They could guess if Dasha died anyway, but it's sure now. Mind you, who's to say she comes out alive - we saw several hospital deaths before, I wouldn;t even put it past Konstantin since she's next to him - convenient.

motorcyclenumptiness · 26/05/2020 00:17

The cast is fabulous and the production glorious but I've lost interest in trying to discern let alone understand the plot

CashewNut11 · 26/05/2020 01:35

I wonder if the 12 will take out or simply kidnap K's daughter. He's not going to be collecting her in '2 days' now, is he? Unless V goes in to release her?

Based on the loose ends... I'd like to see V and Eve join up to find who killed Kenny and reek revenge. V would then be free to head to Cuba, (and come out of retirement for S4). Eve would go back to working for Carolyn.

The trailer looks really good - I wondered if the 'dance' was at Nico's Bridge Club!? And is that Carolyn reading her daughter's diary? I'm probably wrong on both counts!

Really enjoyed tonight's episode. Was good to have that edgey, eye averting tension - the mad 'coincidences' and then the humour, often in all the wrong places!
