I am not a huge fan of Brian whatshisname but Jim Davidson is being at total tosser to him and I am disappointed with Paul Young for standing there and saying nothing.

Surely then, if Jd's scriptwriter was my friends Dad, then she and I were brought up with it...... in which case that's no excuse at all, because we are nothing like that at all! Nobody over the age of 18 ahs a right to claim 'its what I was raised with' unless they literally have never stepped outside their community or plugges in a TV.

I can write a huge list of what I think contributes, but when it comes down to comparisons like brother / family etc I have no idea. My dad is kind, tolerant, best amte was gay even- shock- in the seventies (! )- my Uncles happily use racist terminology. Not sure whether they realise how wrong it is mind, as a group they tend to socialise with themselves, whereas Dad gets out more- maybe its that simple? maybe it ws maeeting Mum, who is very anti-racism due to a nasty racist piece of work for a father?
