What did I watch?

The music videos absolutely floored me! how amazing were they? Cat lady and her husband sitting gushing over their video while the film maker was sitting trying to hold in all the cringe

That funeral speech! who the hell jokes about their husbands testicles at their funeral??? With his mum there? And why wasn’t his mum appalled? (Was she high? She looked high) and then the singing? It was at this point I decided it was definitely all staged and they were actors. But no. It’s all real.

What about sleazy McMaster crook Lowe sleazing over the new nanny right to his pregnant wife’s face! Ewww. How are women attracted to these men?

I'm just going to be upfront and admit that I live about 30 minutes away from this disaster/monstrosity/embarrassment.
And I had NO IDEA any of those things were happening while they were. Actually most of the public didn't know.
There are literally ZERO winners out of the entire situation.
Most of all,the animals who are innocent and didn't ask for a life that/this.....

And please let me reassure you all...Or as I would normally say "Y'all"..Lol
Not all Oklahoman's (Okie's) are like Joe Exotic and the people covered in the doc.In fact,we are all just as shocked as the rest of the world at the insanity of the whole situation.
And with only living 30 minutes from the location of the "zoo",I am beyond shocked and appalled at this.

Yes,it was attention seeking and embarrassing to watch.
But,as we witnessed throughout the doc,it was "Joe's way" and everyone acted like that was ok and normal.
As an Oklahoman myself,I was beyond mortified to watch the entire doc.
I had NO IDEA these things were happening.
Thankfully I suppose....

Well gosh. That was interesting! I don't really know what to say. I actually think I found the husband's the biggest shock, apart from the toothless guy, the other 2 were really beautiful guys! Model material! Ok Travis was into drugs and maybe that's why he was there but the most recent husband, Dillon I think, he didn't seem to be in drugs. What the he'll was he doing there ? Travis was tragic. What was going on with his mother? Drugs too?

Best part of it for me was Joe talking to his husband about being kept in a cage (prison) - I did smile.

Crazy that private citizens are able to 'own' multiple exotic animals with no apparent checks in such huge numbers. The bit at the end where it stated there may be up to 10000 tigers in captivity in America and only 4000 in their natural habitats was very upsetting.

The casual gun/explosives usage was also very unnerving.

I've just finished watching this, what a crazy documentary.

They're all bastards.

Joe's treatment of the animals was abhorrent, it particularly upset me when he dragged the newborn cubs away from its mother.

The conspiracy to murder charge - Jeff Lowe definitely orchestrated that IMO. Joe had been heard saying for years he wishes her dead but there's no evidence to suggest he ever tried to action that, til Jeff came along and "encouraged" him.

I wish all of those cats could be released into the wild but they probably wouldn't survive that way now, having been hand reared and kept in captivity

Am I correct that at the end it said there was a raid on Doc Antles zoo? I wonder what they found? He strikes me as someone who knows how to cover his tracks though.

I was most shocked by the clip at the end when young Joe was talking. He was such a sweet optimistic person back then. I guess that he's an excellent example of why you shouldn't take drugs.

I'm confusing the louis documentary with this now, that poor cub in a travel cot, with a manky blanket over it, crying for its mother

Doc Antle has denied the allegations like the cremations.

Are you from the US by chance?
I'm incredibly close to this place and am still in shock at all of these crazy details that have emerged.
I only live 15 miles from the "zoo" but thankfully I've never been there.
And especially wouldn't go now,lol.
They finally shut them down since they are not an "essential buisness".
But before long...I have a feeling things will catch up with Jeff AND Carole too.
No one is a winner in this crazy situation!

As for Carol, I don’t know how they would ever prove it if indeed she did bump off her husband and get the tigers to eat him, but they are appealing for new information so here’s hoping...

I hope beyond hope that a law is passed to stop the owning of these exotic pets. People like Tim Stark need to be stopped NOW.
