New series anybody watching?

Sue’s new teeth look good glamorous Nanny!

Sam’s Xmas meal was over the top but if I had the money I’d probably do the same for my kids I love Xmas.

Does anybody know why Sam was crying in the preview?

but more importantly I want to know where in surrey!!!!!!!!! could be nearer the kent side and nearer billie etc. hmmmmmmmm.

big paul is not my favourite person. but greg is a hoot and Arthur is divine.

Poetryinaction · 02/04/2020 07:55

Awful episode last night. It used to be lovely when it was about the kids. Now it is about parties and spending as much money as you can on yourself. So spoilt.

Sweetpea84 · 02/04/2020 08:54

Has anybody noticed those awful carex adverts have disappeared? It also seems less episodes?

OnlyFoolsnMothers · 02/04/2020 09:20

I didn’t mind the episode last night, just nothing much happened (like the whole series.....yet is still watch Hmm)
Took about 10mins for them to say “we never just get to fly away without the children” ....ffs these two live in a dream world! The generalisations of how nice New Yorkers are was also cringe- yes the ones in the hotels and serving you in restaurants usually are.

Oh and clearly Sam won’t say in Surrey where she’s moving too- who could just pick 3 schools in Surrey with no house

forevercurious · 02/04/2020 09:24

I quite enjoyed the New York episode - I’ve always wanted to visit there. However I hate how the children are pandered to - Nelly with the doughnut and Paul and Rosie in the shop licking the food refrigerator bit and demanding things. I appreciate all children have tantrums and strops but you don’t reward them!

popcorndiva · 02/04/2020 10:50

Think she is near esher. As she visited a farm shop yesterday to do her essential shopping.

Poetryinaction · 02/04/2020 11:41

I actually like Big Paul. I just think he is his own person and doesn't court the camera.

OnlyFoolsnMothers · 02/04/2020 11:47

I don’t think big Paul likes the cameras and I’d have a lot of respect for that if he had an Independent job. Hating the limelight that enables you to sit on your backside playing toy animals with a 4 yr old all day gets my back up.

Changedname78 · 02/04/2020 13:13

@Kingoftheroad completely agree

LetTheCabbagesDie · 02/04/2020 13:51

Gosh, that's so far! I wonder why she chose Esher (it is nice, though!)

popcorndiva · 02/04/2020 15:04

Daily Mail have a article online now on her house. Apparently from the comments it's rented again.

OnlyFoolsnMothers · 02/04/2020 15:41

Of course it’s rented- Billie constantly referred to buying and selling, Sam just refers to moving

Crickets · 02/04/2020 20:28

Paul is controlling and grumpy. Whether they get married or not it no-one else's business. I think Sam creates the problem herself by bringing it up. She's a bit of a Golem about wanting a ring. She's interested in having a wedding. As the higher earner, she has the most to lose.

Crickets · 02/04/2020 20:31

They were obnoxious on the flight. I wouldn't have been happy. Making a racket is selfish. Not understanding why other people wouldn't want to listen to their nonsense lacks self awareness and is a bit dim.

Do either Paul or Greg work? If not why did Nana take the kids to school?

Pisspoorspeller · 02/04/2020 21:05

I really don't get why people hate big Paul, he genuinely strikes me as someone who doesn't have any interest in the whole TV/camera stuff and I think he does it to keep Sam happy. It's been mentioned before that he doesn't use social media, and he was 'normal' before he met Sam? I think he mentioned in last night's episode he hates it when the kids are playing up and people are watching, I'd be the same, kids playing up and some crank is taking a photo of your 3 year old having an epic paddy. If you just pick them up, and crack on with your trip, it's going to be plastered all over the gossip rags and would be totally taken out of control. I don't think he says much which makes him come off as a bit of a grump. I always think Sam's over enthusiasm for everything makes Paul look even worse, it's like her constantly primping for the camera makes Paul look even more grumpy (and normal)

The whole trip to America seemed to be look how much were spending, same goes for all the gifts. The helicopter was a shining example of this, why would you book when you know the recipient doesn't like anything 'adventurous' The bit on the plane seems very similar to Billie's wedding other people on the island at the time said they were all rude and gobby. Something I can well imagine.

Little Paul seems very babyish, hes about 6 months older than my ds, but barely says anything, his sole role seems to be smiling and looking excited every so often. You can tell he doesn't interact with other kids (aside from nelly) very often.

I think the show has gone a long way from the initial parenting element and seems more about Sam and Billie trying to up their profile. You don't really see any of the adults engaging or playing with the kids. Unless it's showing them even more toys. Maybe that just doesn't make good enough tv? Also how many toys does Paul and Rosie have, it's ridiculous... I'm also a little jealous Grin

Eaudeunaturale · 03/04/2020 07:30

Big Paul is in the wrong job if he dislikes the limelight!
Although I’ve noticed there’s not even been mention of Gaynor this season so she’s obviously taken a step back. Wonder what she thinks of the move to Surrey?

It annoys me a little how Sam always takes over, like the little party at Sues house, Sam made it seem like she organised the whole thing, also noticed kids were all there but no big Paul

CatkinToadflax · 03/04/2020 11:04

I'm so bored in bloody lockdown that I've just had a peek at the Mail Online photos of Sam's new house. This bit had me hooting:

"Photographs of the property before Sam moved in show the large kitchen and living area, which has two wide double doors leading out to the garden and even a shed."

The Daily Mail has got the scoop of the century with this one - the Faiers Knightleys even have a shed! Grin

LetTheCabbagesDie · 03/04/2020 14:07

£7,000 per month in rent?! Confused

mrssunshinexxx · 03/04/2020 14:21

God Paul and Rosie weren't painted well in this episode

Love the bond between Billie, Sam and Sue x

louise5754 · 03/04/2020 20:57

Gaynor has in one scene this series. Not as often as usual but she was there.

louise5754 · 03/04/2020 20:57

Was

CaveyWavey · 03/04/2020 20:59

Have only watched a couple of episodes now but those that don't like big Paul you are on the right tracks. I don't know the history on the show of his said past job but have heard in real life he was supposedly in construction? Builder? Think again. Could be all be gossip of course. What do I know Grin

CaveyWavey · 03/04/2020 21:02

They clearly have more money than Billie and Greg 😉

Eaudeunaturale · 03/04/2020 22:11

@CaveyWavey spill the beans Shock

Tana433 · 04/04/2020 16:06

I have to disagree with the majority of people on here. I really like big Paul, he is the most genuine of the four of them (although i have a soft spot for Greg.)
Paul obviously loves his kids and Sam too but probably finds Sam a bit over-bearing. Constantly wanting to be proposed to is a bit lame. She comes across as a bit needy whereas he is far more laid back and confident in himself. Fair play to him. He wont play up for the cameras, he'll get things done in his own time.
If Sam isnt happy without a ring she should stop having babies to keep up with her sister. Live your own life, you only get one after all and yours looks pretty good from where im standing.
