This is where the drama of a soap departs from reality lol Grin

SoupDragon · 12/03/2020 19:11

investigators, admin folks, secretarial staff

Conveniently, Chantelle is at a loose end right now.

theschoolonthehill · 12/03/2020 19:13

Optimist1 Gray can do it from his family kitchen and the cafe! So much for confidentiality. They have a big house and surely they have one bedroom made into an office. Every other house on the square houses approx 16 people. Gray has one of the biggest houses incl a basement that is home to four people and yet the only place he can do any work is the kitchen!

Cary2012 · 12/03/2020 19:45

@Iknowimcoming
Yes, I think Jean will spiral, and Stacey returning will coincide.

Cary2012 · 12/03/2020 19:50

Note to scriptwriters:
Chantelle has had her arm in plaster since New Year.
My son, when he was 12 was plastered for 6 weeks, so less time.
Wrist break following skateboard tumble.
His wrist was weak and looked withered and wrinkled after.
There is no way he could resume normal stuff the day after.
Get the small details right!

Bioprepper · 12/03/2020 20:33

Why is nobody washing and sanitising their hands or talking about Coronavirus? They need to slip it in somewhere

JuanSheetIsPlenty · 12/03/2020 20:36

As if gray wouldn’t notice Mitch in his van right behind his car!

JuanSheetIsPlenty · 12/03/2020 20:42

Chantelle’s coat looks awful on her.

namechangearooney · 12/03/2020 20:55

Gosh this episode is stressful!

Snog · 12/03/2020 21:00

I'm finding the Whitney storyline really dull

lazymum99 · 12/03/2020 21:03

Is she brown bread?

Cary2012 · 12/03/2020 21:07

Nah,she's not braaan bread.
Tiffany's had an epiphany!
Why are women always the victims in this soap?
Chantelle, broken. Tiffany, broken.

Cary2012 · 12/03/2020 21:08

Sorry, meant Whitney, not Tiff!

Snog · 12/03/2020 21:08

Is Tiffany broken???

Optimist1 · 12/03/2020 21:54

Wouldn't Whit have been getting medical attention, or at least regular medical checks once she'd embarked on her hunger strike?

Please let this be the end of Chantelle's silence.

Such a depressing episode tonight.

JuanSheetIsPlenty · 12/03/2020 21:56

Really hope Chantelle decides that’s it now. Of course gray will come back all apologetic and she’ll accept it. I hope she doesn’t

iknowimcoming · 12/03/2020 22:05

I wonder if chan will go work for sukis son and he'll figure out what's going on? I kinda swung between 'ooh this is good' and 'this is just plain weird' with Whitney tonight, not quite sure what to make of it, surely they haven't killed her off?

SinisterBumFacedCat · 12/03/2020 23:00

I couldn’t hear any of what Whitney was saying to younger Whitney but I got the gist.

Agree it was a depressing couple of episodes, feels like most of the stories are about women as victims of men or women being rescued by men.

tobee · 13/03/2020 03:24

You know when the news is really depressing that you can always rely on Eastenders to cheer you right up! GrinSadSadSad

I actually thought they did ok with the 12 year old Whitney apparition. It was quite risky.

I still think it's weird that after all the months of Sharon/Ken/Phil and the baby, then the big week of the boat and who was going to die, that the focussing on Whitney, rather than Sharon is odd. All that tension built up and then dissipated over the last few episodes!

Cary2012 · 13/03/2020 07:04

When real life is grim, you can always rely on Enders to give you a laugh.
Not.
Denny's funeral is on next, so brace yourselves for the next barrel of laughs.
And don't rub yer mince pies or touch yer boat race wivart washing yer mitts first. Be more Mock.

NewModelArmyMayhem18 · 13/03/2020 07:05

That had to be one of the most depressing episodes ever - domestic violence and child grooming/abuse both met head-on Sad.

Are we thinking that Lola might have had sex with Peter - there were a couple of scenes where she was looking a bit shifty?

Bioprepper · 13/03/2020 07:53

Well peter left her house in the morning so I’m guessing so

NewModelArmyMayhem18 · 13/03/2020 07:55

I didn't see that so thanks for letting me know @Bioprepper. Oh dear...

Mrsjayy · 13/03/2020 09:08

We watched later on last night god sake it was a barrel of laugh eh ! It was grim Sad

JuanSheetIsPlenty · 13/03/2020 09:39

Totally. It’s really crap that they do it tbh. They need to learn how to focus on one big storyline at a time.

Whits not dead, she’s just collapsed.
