Sharon is breaking my heart, very believable.

It struck me tonight watching with teen d, that the Ben/Callum scenes were very real in that there was love & care about Ben’s deafness but aside from that there was focus on sex and wanting each other. It’s a long way we’ve come since the really quite chaste lesbian kiss in brookside that had such a media build up years ago.
I hope they have a long lasting relationship without all this gangster malarkey which gets so dull.

numberonecook · 28/02/2020 23:06

I’m a bit fed up with the ‘I’m no good for you go away’
‘I’m sorry I want you back’
‘I’m no good for you go away’
‘I’m sorry I want you back
Of Callum and Ben. Why can’t they just be together and happy?

How does peter know what Ian did? Dotty doesn’t know so how did she tell him? I know he’s suspicious but if he turns round now and says he knows Ian locked Denny in then it’s ridiculous because he can’t know!

Optimist1 · 28/02/2020 23:30

Where did Phil go after the boat crash? We haven't seen him, have we?

Thymeout · 28/02/2020 23:33

I thought the secret was that Denny was responsible for Bobby being beaten up. Bex told Ian, tho' Dotty told her not to. Then after Denny died, Ian told Bex to keep quiet about it, 'to spare Sharon's feelings'. But it's already come out that Denny was last seen being chased down to the lower deck by Ian. There's still Denny's voicemail.

Sharon looks so much younger without makeup.

Chienloup · 29/02/2020 00:05

Peter,: Dotty Cotton, you haven't changed.
Dotty: You certainly have!

Made me laugh.

iknowimcoming · 29/02/2020 00:49

Rare night to myself tonight so I was alone whilst watching which was fortunate since I was actually sobbing at sharon and Shirley in the pub Blush

tobee · 29/02/2020 02:28

Feel sorry for new Peter. They seem to make him constantly have to slump to not look too tall!

I'm hoping they're not going to make Gray a straight out panto baddie; stitching up Mick and Whit. So far they've seemed to have followed a abusive husband pattern that gets mentioned here a lot; providing for his family materially, appearing a great bloke in the community but being all about the control of his wife and home. Seeing him reacting under stress occasionally.

When will Sharon's false lashes and her flashing eyes be back? I love the way her eyes flash when she's angry! Shock

tobee · 29/02/2020 02:30

Seeing him react under stress occasionally I mean simmering away rather than his explosive behaviour with Chantelle.

The80sweregreat · 29/02/2020 08:05

Linda and Sharon deserve awards for their acting lately. Both been brilliant.

SoupDragon · 29/02/2020 08:11

How does peter know what Ian did?

I think all the clues are there to get most of the truth from what he has seen or heard. Also, don't forget that he is looking down on it all from a great height so has a better viewpoint.

The80sweregreat · 29/02/2020 08:17

Dotty is what my mum would have called ' forward' in her day! At least she left off the metallic lipstick last night.
She'd eat peter alive!

itsgettingweird · 29/02/2020 08:21

Anyone else also love Jean and Shirley relationship?
Shirley is shown as such a hard nut but underneath it all she's very soft and kind and we saw a small part of her vulnerability when she had the heart to heart with Linda about how she has Mick and she's jealous if that because she missed out of the mum and son relationship.

And when she comforted Sharon ..... Sad

tenredthings · 29/02/2020 08:22

Where was baby Kenny when Sharon was necking vodka with Shirley in the pub ?
Ben is overplaying his poor me role. His hangdog look is a bit rich when you consider he was fine with making Martin's life hell and ordering Ken's murder.

The80sweregreat · 29/02/2020 08:31

Shirley and Sharon were daggers drawn over Denny so it's nice they have made up and can comfort each other now.
Shirley is a tough one usually : she also has lost a son ( we never saw him and it was years ago from health related problems) so she knows how it feels more so than some others.

Redact · 29/02/2020 09:47

Another EE fan here. When Keegan and Tiff were looking through the black bags from the refuse lorry looking for the cupcake and he said something along the lines of chicken nugget wrappers and make up remover ... I think this is our one 😂

lazymum99 · 29/02/2020 10:33

Shirley was the only one who comforted Sharon properly with that lovely description of Denny. (Even though he was a little shit). It was really sad.

How long can they go on not showing Cherry or Babi Abi. It’s been months that no ones looked after them.

Phil has his private rescue boat and then disappeared. Back to Portugal??

The80sweregreat · 29/02/2020 10:58

Phil might have gone back to Portugal.
The kids go missing on a regular basis. Kat's boys , cherry and Abi have not been seen much at all. It is a mystery how they cope as babies and children are hard work and need 24/7 care ( normally)

tobee · 29/02/2020 14:06

I think they might try to airbrush poor old Cherry. Sad

tobee · 29/02/2020 14:09

By the way, I'm gonna put this out here! GrinI really like Dotty since her return! I think her character has got great potential and hope they don't mess it up!

Mrsjayy · 29/02/2020 14:14

This made me laugh soupdragon

I know soaps are not real but EE is terrible for wheeling out their kids just for a storyline Kat has 4 children in her care you never see them she is to busy fannying about the square whinging about Kush. Least Chatam and Riley go to their "dads"

JuanSheetIsPlenty · 29/02/2020 15:10

Peter,: Dotty Cotton, you haven't changed.
Dotty: You certainly have!

Made me laugh.

Me too! Grin

Grin

She'd eat peter alive!

Actually she screams insecurity, which became all too apparent when Leo was paying her attention. She wouldn’t know what to do with peter once she got near him Grin

I think they might try to airbrush poor old Cherry

I hope not. I loved Hayley and want her to have a reason to come back. I wonder why they had her leave. Maybe the actress wanted to.

tobee · 29/02/2020 15:34

My theory about Hayley actress based purely on me speculating, is she found the media attention too much, especially as she has young children. Maybe she asked for time off and the bosses said it was too long? I think it was originally that she was just having time off to be with her kids? Usually you hear something if there has been a proper disagreement. I mean, she was right in the middle of big storylines and then Hayley was off to get proper help. I'd be delighted if she came back. All that tabloid stuff about her new job was hideous.

Back in eastendersland Grin I hope someone's got around to telling Lou that Keanu isn't really dead!

TwoFeets · 29/02/2020 15:57

I think they said before that Hayley was never meant to come back - she was only a plot to bring Alfie back with a bang

JuanSheetIsPlenty · 29/02/2020 16:02

It seems odd then that the gave her such big storylines of her own that were entirely separate from Alfie. And also weird that they didn’t have her take Cherry when she left. Now they’re left with a parentless baby in the square. Confused

TwoFeets · 29/02/2020 16:32

It was a really odd storyline from the start really - why did kat use her as a honeytrap? what was the deal with her Mum? why bother with the baby?

Not to mention that Alfie was an absolute twat who didn't really have a part anymore anyway. Weird!
