On BBC she does. ITV seems to be using selective views.

If she has conceived three kids easily then she is a healthy weight.

I don’t really like the royal family but don’t undertake the obsession with weight

She is thin but she’s naturally thin, she doesn’t look ill at all.
In fact recently she looks really happy. I think she’s doing a great job.
Imagine the reactions she would get if she were fat.

Too rich, too thin - Wallis Simpson.

I wouldn't want to be Kate for all the tea in China. Constantly under the media spotlight. Horrific.

Fergie definitely had it bad back in the day. Duchess of Pork was the most memorable one.

That said, if you google ED, you can find that many sufferers have bandages on their fingers from injuries when using their fingers to vomit. Note that Kate has been photographed with plasters on her fingers/knuckles.

She does look thin but she is tall and has a long body so it could be her natural shape.

I think Kate works out a lot- she has a lot of muscle and very low body fat. In the photo posted upthread you can see definition in her stomach and thighs which which you don't really see on someone who is just thin.

Also, she is naturally very thin- there was a photo of her from her school days at the weekend with some other young girls from her class and she was thinner than all of them back then- her waist was noticeably tiny compared to her classmates.

Yes and she was compared constantly to the beautiful, thin Princess Diana, who was in the grip of an ED.
FWIW I think Kate is very disciplined about everything and controls her weight through sheer willpower. Cant believe people saying the additional burden of taking over Harry and Meghans engagements have made her lose weight. Neither of them do that many engagements compared to the older Royals who are in their 70's. They should be stepping up. God knows how skinny she'd be if she actually had to do a day of work if she cant cope with the pressure of shaking a few more hands a month. At best the two of them are playing with one child during the day while the other 2 are at school. They have no cooking or housework to do and nannies coming out of their ears.

I don’t think commenting on her weight achieves anything. It’s her business and no one else’s.

I feel bad for her, she’s been working so hard lately after Harry and Megan buggered off and she’s constantly under the spotlight. She has three young children. The pressure must be incredible. I have so much respect for her- I think she does a wonderful job.

She does look older than she is, but not in a terrible way. We're just used to seeing people's flattering social media pictures now, with people trying to look good when in reality they look .... not so good... not so young....So she looks ok in consideration - her pap photos aren't filtered! She's too thin, but she's very tall which makes her waist look svelte and elongated. She lost weight before the wedding and never regained it. She gets photographed every week and probably doesn't want to look "fat".

I’d be skinny if I thought paparazzi would be following me round all day.

This isn’t concern for her-it’s an excuse to criticise.

When she was at university she was slim but healthy looking, I agree that back then she looked athletic . Now she looks painfully skinny. However I should add that my adult DD suffers from anorexia. She is mostly in recovery but occasionally has set backs so I am very, very conscious of women of that age group who look underweight.

On the one hand I think it's great she is back to her pre-baby weight and size, as so many women stay overweight forever, to the detriment of their health. And there must be pressure on her to look good in the public eye.

On the other hand, I have thought her face had aged a lot recently and she was looking a bit gaunt- hollows under her eyes and her face looked a lot thinner.

Being kind to her, they have been through a lot with Harry etc recently and it must have taken it's toll, supporting William.

I just hope she is okay.

We/ you have no idea what she does! Maybe she loves cooking and does it all the time? Just because there are staff at their disposal doesn't mean they use them, does it? When they lived in Angelsey she evidently cooked all the time and loved it- was often shown shopping in Waitrose with her trolley.

Urgh hate people saying she looks older than she is. No she doesn’t. What’s wrong with looking your age and not botoxing your face! She smiles a lot- it shows on her face. Why can’t that be a good thing! Why do women criticise other women’s age in a negative way! Why is ageing seen as a bad thing?

I don't think pp are critical of her weight for aesthetic reasons. Well I can only speak for me, but I'm more concerned whether she's well. I wonder if we've learnt anything from what happened with Diana when photo after photo showed her painfully thin and no one batted an eye.

I hope she's getting the help she needs, if necessary.

@Rosebz I think what people are saying is that she looks older owing to weight loss. It's from a 'caring' perspective.
I think she looks gorgeous but compared to - for example- my DD who is a bit younger and equally sporty and fit and slim (size 8)- her face does look drawn and her under eye hollows are of an older woman.

She doesn't have smile lines from smiling is that's what you mean.
Her face has no fat at all on it so when she smiles, her cheeks do crease a lot.

There is nothing wrong with being older- I'm older!- but you are missing the point. What people are saying is that she looks older than she would if she put on half a stone or so and she's looking a bit tired and drawn (compare her with when she is pregnant and her face looks very different with a bit of added weight.)

@Rosebz where have you seen these photos? Nothing online today. Are you just making a general observation?

We saw her in real life a couple of weeks ago. She's.very happy and healthy looking. Has a crazy tiny waist though. But she was incredibly happy and smiling so YABU

I don't normally comment on the Royals as not that interested tbh, but I did think she looked thin when I saw them on BBC News at Loughborough. The dark outfit really highlighted her slimness.

Okay next time someone tells me I’m looking old and haggard, I’ll let them off because they’re obviously just being ‘caring’. I think it’s okay to say- she’s looking tired etc but I don’t think it’s nice to scrutinise her appearance.

I’m sure she’s got lots of people close to her, including the best doctors in the world looking after her health. She doesn’t need the general public criticising her appearance and analysing the lines on her face! Why not focus on the work she’s doing and the charities she’s supporting?

I don't think it's criticism, I think it's a fact. She's very thin, nobody is surely going to say she isn't?

Personally I think she looks amazing. I've got three very young children like she has and I'd love to look half as good as she does. I also think it's unfair to say she looks older than her age because she really doesn't. Yes she dresses in a very formal way, but that's her job. But facially? She looks her age I think. She has a gorgeous smile and hair I would kill for but her photos aren't airbrushed and unfortunately that is what we are used to seeing.

I agree. I think that facially she looks like any normal Mum around her age. She looks amazing. She’s not an airbrushed celebrity. She’s got this realness about her and I think that’s great, she’s just being herself.
