I reckon it was Elliott- the elder boy. His little brother heard a burglar and poked the fire. I reckon his Elliott poked him with the fire. Not sure about his injecting skills though. He was mucking about at the funeral and has seemed really quite unaffected by it all. Perhaps they are both Tom's kids and he was jealous of Daddy being with the girls.

And his mum helped with the padlock and injections?

The larger picture posted by Cheeky could be DT visiting the person suspected of the killings trying to find out why or something!!

Although there's someone sitting at a table in the background with the same colour orange top on - what's the chance of that unless it's prison 'uniform'?

errrrrrrrr? In the picture I was referring to the person in the background is wearing a grey / blue hoodie!

And yes it is the same colour. It looks paler as it is zoomed in.

How strange. The photo you posted at end of last page displays on my screen without this other person on the right. ie as though cropped.

So not only do we have misleading trailers but unknown influencers manipulating images posted!

(Seriously I've been back to look and nothing to indicate this person on the far right ... )

oh, I see it now. I think the orange is chosen for the US audience to understand 'prison' in shorthand. But, yes, he definitely looks like he is in a spot of bother there!!

Another clue pointing towards Elliott and possibly his Mum - he had said to his Mum that he wondered if he was going to die too. Mum said she had told Steve but Steve denied this. When asked what she said to reassure him, her answer was quite emotionless and wishy washy.

Watching this thread liking the theories and putting my own tuppence in to say that I've seen a couple of taglines that makes me think that deaths were caused by someone else outwith the family. The IMDB page says "When a seemingly perfect and happy family is murdered by someone they knew and trusted, cracks appear on the surface of a supposedly idyllic community." I'm sure I've read another statement which is along similar but different lines and mentioned the community as well, and it makes me think that other skeletons are going to come out of other closets in the two episodes to go.

Maybe the flashback with Dylan was a different night to the one with the fire. She probably kept running away in the night and the parents took it in turns to get her. It would explain the padlock.

Yes, she probably knows he’s capable of this kind of thing and is scared of him whilst simultaneously feeling that maternal instinct to look after him.

The comment “maybe it would be better if he’d just went” was said with anger more than concern I thought.

Yes I agree! He looks great in orange. Its a colour I’d love to wear but I’m ginger and sadly I’ve never been able to do orange unless it’s very tomato/red orange or a terracotta shade. It’s the same with any citrusy colour like acid yellow or lime green.

Glad I found this thread! I watched both episodes tonight and i did enjoy them. So many interesting points made here but a PP mentioned the uni friend who turned up at the funeral and that she could be a stalker. When Jess talls to her and asks if she is Sasha ( I think that's the name) there is a slight hesitation before she answers yes. Made me think she was pretending to be someone from Kate past so she could get more info. I reckon she was in love with Kate and she may only have pretended to have had sex with DT so see jess's reaction. And When Kate told Jess she loved her, I'm not sure she was talking about platonic love. Unless it's a weird double bluff thing, I dont think its DT.
