I don't know of anything that would be given in injection form for sedation that would be used outside of a hospital.

CheekyFucker · 19/01/2020 16:11

Maybe it will be one of those mega annoying programmes where there is no conclusion. Perhaps it is all about the hidden issues of DV.

EnidBlyton · 19/01/2020 16:18

But tom is a gp do could have access

What are nox that Dylan is doing

EnidBlyton · 19/01/2020 16:19

Dylan is guilty of something

CheekyFucker · 19/01/2020 16:37

Nox is laughing gas. Often used for a high. Comes in little canisters.

A GP would not have access to that level of sedation.

Werking · 19/01/2020 16:42

Nah, I think you can blame bad acting/directing/writing for the odd delivery. Of course it may be there to signal something.

MrsPelligrinoPetrichor · 19/01/2020 16:43

Nox is everywhere where I live, kids love it.

ktel1 · 19/01/2020 18:10

If Dylan's frequently under the influence he could have made a mistake with the date.

What he saw could have been on a different night.

As to whether he actually saw Tom or Kate that's another matter.

I don't think he's lying about having seen Emily there at some point based on the way the final clip was shown , it was supposed to show the difference between who he had seen picking up Emily and the reality.

Tom is lying if Dylan saw Emily running in the woods that night.

CheekyFucker · 19/01/2020 18:18

I think the fact there were pine needles on Emily's feet and in her pjs support it being the date of the fire. Also Kate is wearing the same clothes as she did on the day of the fire.

Maybe the injections were administered in an attempt to revive them- restart the heart- adrenaline for example.

As previously mentioned the location near the elbow is an IV site.

Peripherally inserted central catheter (PICC)
A PICC has a long line that sends medication from the area of insertion, through your blood vessels, all the way to a vein near your heart. A PICC is typically placed in a vein above your elbow in your upper arm.

CheekyFucker · 19/01/2020 19:11

If that was the case with the injection sites, the police would not be photographing them.

They did not try to resuscitate the girls. The bodies were left in situ and removed the next day. If they were resuscitated then they would have been brought out of the fire to do so.

In an emergency, unless there was already venous access like in a hospital, adrenaline would be administered into a muscle.

CheekyFucker · 19/01/2020 19:17

And a PICC line is only inserted to prevent multiple injections, like for chemo or tpn. They need to be inserted in a sterile field and checked to make sure they are in the right place. A bit too much bother if someone is not even breathing.

ktel1 · 19/01/2020 19:24

I was referring to Tom as possibly trying to revive them not anyone involved in the rescue

CheekyFucker · 19/01/2020 19:24

The injection site suggests either a medical type person or a drug user. There was no bruising so they were clearly quite good at it. Although obviously this is not real. They cannot even get the CPR right, so I doubt they will be too fussed about injection sites.

CheekyFucker · 19/01/2020 19:25

Tom said they were already dead. Either he knew that, so too late to try to revive, or he is thinking retrospectively, in which case he would not have known they needed reviving.

CheekyFucker · 19/01/2020 19:26

Plus he would have phoned for an ambulance, not tried to revive them then lay down on the bed.

ktel1 · 19/01/2020 19:28

I was only throwing the idea out there as a possibility

None of know what happened it's all just speculation

CassandrasCastle · 19/01/2020 19:43

@ktel1 I love your investment in this show, it's sweet Grin

CassandrasCastle right back at you

Omgyouguyssss · 19/01/2020 19:46

Anyone would think it was on the posters of this thread to actually solve this crime Grin

Breathmiller · 19/01/2020 19:47

@Omgyouguyssss

It is!! Haven't you seen me twirl my Poirot moustache?! 🤣

CassandrasCastle · 19/01/2020 20:07

@Omgyouguyssss I know, they're so earnest 🙊

peanutfoldover · 19/01/2020 20:16

I quite like the idea that the injections were all coincidental.

Although it is the wrong site for vaccinations and unlikely to all need blood tests at exactly the same time.

Do you think Tom tricked Kate into a suicidd pact but only gave himself a tiny dose?

Breathmiller · 19/01/2020 20:29

All this talk of super sleuthing made me watch the old Murder on the Orient Express this afternoon, which I promptly fell asleep to.
Poirot would never sleep on the job

WhoWants2Know · 19/01/2020 20:50

Mentioning Tom in prison is not a bloody spoiler!

Before the series was ever shown, the trailer showed David Tennant at a table in an orange v-necked scrub shirt, with a tear running down his cheek. So, in prison.

And even if you missed it during the million times the trailer played during every advert break on 4, it's hardly a huge leap to think that the main character whose wife and kids were both killed might spend some time behind bars during the course of the series.
