Anyone watching?

The two youngsters had a maturity beyond their years.

The Latin dancers were a bit out of sync. Why didn’t the young lad start with the rest?

Didn’t see the first duo - cooking food.

Just tuned in. Saw the acrobatic dance troupe who I thought were good.

The Irish dancer was technically good, but didn’t move me. The diva it didn’t fit in with the earlier dancing. Should have linked the two together more. His sister was sweet though.

The first were a technically excellent Latin couple!

The pink costumes don't do a thing for those youngsters

Looks like it’s only you and me watching!

Didn’t really like the 16 year old. Felt there was no story, unlike the clown last week.

Why is there no ballet?

I'm watching! Lots of big groups this evening.
Too many get through... it's a bit meaningless really. Only one hasn't got through so far this evening.

I dislike the acrobatics tbh

& I lean towards Jazz & Tap when it's not Ballroom/Latin

These latin are sadly not good enough

I live this show. Last week's episode was fab.

Thought the good dancers tonight better than the good dancers last week

However we hardly see any of the bad/poor dancers

And the score thing still annoys me

Really liked the first pair of Latin dancers.

I thought the acrobatic troupe were amazingly talented, but it was more gymnastics than dance to my eyes, plus I was a bit uneasy with the older male dancer.

@SpanishFly - the judges can only pick from the ones the audience put through.

@Ellmau - I kinda agree with you about the male dancer. Maybe if he wore a top, and wasn’t bare skinned it would have looked better. Or had more male dancers.

I'm watching! I agree about the acrobatics troupe - having the older guy with them seemed a bit creepy (he at least should have had a shirt on!). I liked the first couple and the last male group - thought they were fab.

I think they should limit the number of ppl in a troupe. I didn't get the fuss for the girls in the pink outfits. They seemed average at best.

I like Ainsley, but didn't love him. Still, think he has great potential.

@Spanishfly the judges can only vote for the acts that have gone through... they can't bring back any contestants for whom the doors didn't open. So they really can't undo the audience's decisions.

My dh really liked Ainsley. I wSn’t fussed. Thought the male dance group were the best.

I really liked the first Latin style couple. They wouldn't look out of place as Strictly pros themselves, and even Neil has posted about them on Insta.

Agree, on most pp's:
Can't believe more people haven't heard of northern soul because it's huge; nearly every act the doors open = boring. I want to see more of the ones that don't. Missing the numerator is ruining it for me. Like the fact judges get to choose one, which is new, from last series.

Loved The Vale contemporary group and loved Ainsley. Also liked the Latin duo and the Men’s contemporary. Standard is great this year.

So far between the first 2 episodes my daughter attended classes at conventions/summer intensive the past year with 2 of the dancers (Harrison and Ainsley) and 1 choreographer (from JJ acrobatics). All were fabulous and inspiring teachers.

Looking forward to Saturday night already 😊

So who was watching tonight?? So much talent again which makes for very enjoyable watching
My fav tonight was Brotherhood of Dance. Stunning performance!! (Btw these are Dane Bates team, remember the Dane Bates Collective last season)
I loved the tapper, and I also really liked the gymnast girl, the queens and the Wizard of Oz troupe. I was disappointed in the ballet troupe, they needed much better and more dymnanic choreography.

The lads team at the end were brilliant. Shame the ballet dancers didn't get through when the man who just stood there waving his arms with his DJ Dad did. Loved the rhythmic gymnast.

Yes, a few duds sneak through. But I guess their charisma connects with audience.

Missed the early dances.

Loved the Brotherhood of Dance - they should have gone through, although knew the gymnast would. Definitely strong but delicate.

I felt the female ballet dancers was a wasted opportunity. I liked the concept. Ie. Ballet to a pop song, but the choreography didn’t do their talent justice.

Similarly, the tap dancer was good, but there was no story in the routine.

Actually, my teen said the same about the gymnast, lots of tricks but no routine.

I do have to add that I thought the dancers in the ballet routine were fabulous dancers. The problem was with the choreography. I think because they were such great dancers the expectations of the audience were not met, and that’s why they didn’t get through. Such a pity because they are gorgeous dancers.

So we have another Dane Bates Collective and a Jennifer Ellis dancer. Both were great last year but the new DBC have only been together a year.

I thought that the modern ballet troop weren't as well in sync as some of the other groups.

I wonder which teams the captains will get?
