Anyone watching?

The two youngsters had a maturity beyond their years.

The Latin dancers were a bit out of sync. Why didn’t the young lad start with the rest?

Didn’t see the first duo - cooking food.

omg - Dancepoint were already voted out? (Sorry, watching late). Damn.
M+J to win please.

SoupDragon · 07/03/2020 19:51

I'd like L&J to go away, learn some other dance styles and come back in 4 years.

SoupDragon · 07/03/2020 19:52

Yes!

Jellykat · 07/03/2020 19:53

Brilliant!

MissSueFlay · 07/03/2020 19:53

Yay! Grin

Samcro · 07/03/2020 19:54

Yay so pleased

AllTheseThingsThatIHaveNotDone · 07/03/2020 19:54

Get in!!!!!

awaynboilyurheid · 07/03/2020 19:54

Yay really wanted them to win Can’t wait to see Then on Strictly! I loved the dance they did with Oti! Pressed rewind and watched it over and over!

Pppppickupapenguin · 07/03/2020 19:54

I'm happy with the result.

IceniSky · 07/03/2020 19:54

Harrison should have won. M&J train 12 hours a day. Unfair playing field.

SoupDragon · 07/03/2020 19:55

So, it wasn't fixed so that Oti didn't win 🙂

SoupDragon · 07/03/2020 19:56

Harrison should have won. M&J train 12 hours a day. Unfair playing field.

I do agree with this actually.

iamme21 · 07/03/2020 19:59

Gutted for Harrison

Arcadia · 07/03/2020 19:59

Are they professional dancers?

AllTheseThingsThatIHaveNotDone · 07/03/2020 20:04

Harrison attends a theatre school. What makes you think he hasn't been training/coached all the hours God sends?

AllTheseThingsThatIHaveNotDone · 07/03/2020 20:06

And I had him penned as the winner...but you want to blame someone, blame whoever his choreographer was. His routines overall (Royalty/jewellery box/mime artist/tap/Elton) did not live up to his promise/show off his talent.
But he can be in Rocketman the musical no question.

iklboo · 07/03/2020 20:08

Harrison definitely has a career ahead of him.

xsquared · 07/03/2020 20:12

I am pleased that Michael and Jowita won but I do feel gutted for Harrison.
In the end, it's the number of voters that determines who wins. I really thought Harrison was going to win over M and J.

Noodlenosefraggle · 07/03/2020 20:17

Who the hell watched Lily and Joseph's dance with Cheryl and voted for them? They were easily the weakest performers, both them and Cheryl. They should have opened the votes after the first performances. M &J wrote easily the best but I do feel sorry for Harridon, even though just being in this has probably given him a massive career boost.

cordelia16 · 07/03/2020 20:18

Just checked twitter for the results. Happy to admit that I was wrong about BBC not "allowing" Oti to win. Very surprised though!

AllTheseThingsThatIHaveNotDone · 07/03/2020 21:35

Okay, caught up now.
I enjoyed Todrick's dance but it showcased Todrick more than Dancepoint.
I didn't like Cheryl's but she is better at bodypopping than ballet style although did that when she was younger. Maternal schmaltz but kids showcased.
Oti's was a tour de force. Anyone who knows the trio dances from DWTS will recognise how good this was.
Matthew used humour so that Harrison could still do his acro bits. He actually danced well in the trad parts. Not the best music however.

The best dancers overall won and will fit into Strictly Glitterball beautifully. Oti wins a double and gets to defend her title next year.

Oblomov20 · 08/03/2020 15:00

Enjoyed the whole show.

Thought the second round of dances were fab: liked M&J city. But my favourite was Harrison as his clown version 2. Even better than his first clown.

Didn't think M&J would win, but accept the result.

TechnicalSergeantGarp · 08/03/2020 16:04

Harrison should have won. IT 2.0 was fab.

Voting shouldn't have opened until they all had danced. I wonder what the scores were?

M&J are professional dancers and the competition should be a more even playing field. That being said, it seemed like It struggled a little to keep up. M&J were full on for the whole dance. OTI had a breather running up the steps.

I'm surprised Lily got through over Dancepoint.

I wonder why they don't show the choreographers? We know the dance captains offer support and don't work alone. Maybe because we'd see the same old people (Dane Bates Collective and Jennifer Ellison). I wouldn't care if they did, I like their dancers.

Harrison should have won
Not on one dance alone. His seven dances overall were not as consistent as M+J's. Not his fault but he was let down by the choreography.
