Anyone watching?

The two youngsters had a maturity beyond their years.

The Latin dancers were a bit out of sync. Why didn’t the young lad start with the rest?

Didn’t see the first duo - cooking food.

My favourites - Michael and Jowita, Ainsley and Dancepoint
Audience top 3 were: 1 Dancepoint 2 BoD 3 M+J
Audience didn't like Dark Angels but had another 4 acts lower than R+T:
had it been down to them rather than phone audience Harrison would have gone. Matt or whoever does it needs to take note and up the choreography.
Mentors each have 2 acts left.

xsquared · 09/02/2020 08:46

I also wonder whether Harrison would have done better with someone like Todrick or Oti. Two of his acts from last year were voted off on the same night iirc.

Standrewsschool · 09/02/2020 08:55

i wonder how much influence the judges have on the dances, though? Surely the dancer’s own choreographers choreograph them? The judges only come in for a couple of hours, according to the above post.

teenmumandsowhat · 09/02/2020 09:54

I would suspect out of all the dance captains, oti and todrick are probably having the most influence. Oti has a reputation on strictly for being ruthless in the training room, demanding hours of practice until they get it just right.

During last year’s series oti did a take over of zoella’s Instagram and showed some of the work she did, and her acts teachers/ choreographers.

Figgygal · 09/02/2020 11:14

Surprisingly Michael and jowita were my favourite again followed by dance point such striking visuals

The Vale music was magnificent I always love hearing it

Do not like lily and Joseph sorry kids nothing personal

MomOfTwoGirls2 · 09/02/2020 11:15

Really enjoyed last night. Standard is very high. Favs last night were Ainsley, Dancepoint and M&J.
I am disappointed dark angles never managed to replicate the sharpness and precision of their audition. The right acts went last night.
I also think Harrison hasn’t been as strong as his audition, and could be in danger next week.
But all remaining acts are very capable, so it will be down to choreo and performance next week.

TechnicalSergeantGarp · 09/02/2020 12:48

I like Harrison but this performance didn't really do it for me. His audience score was low and he was very lucky not to go. He needs to bring it like the auditions.

Don't really like M&J. I know nothing about dance and am just going by what I'd like to watch again.

I liked Lilly and Joseph and the mirror dance.

My two least favourite went. There are only really strong contenders left. Battle is on next week.

Oblomov20 · 09/02/2020 20:43

I thought this week was really boring.
No surprise as to who went home.

I enjoyed Michael and jowita who used their canes continuously, and I liked that.

BuggaLugga · 09/02/2020 22:45

I think it seems a bit fixed how each dance captain has lost one act each.

I didn't like the cliched ballerina dancer thing with the soldier, cringe, even though I usually like Harrison. And the woman walking past when the two lads (already forgotten their names!) were dancing with the ladder was also cringe. I thought we'd moved on from that kind of stuff?

Me and DD don't normally like Ainsley's dancing style much but we loved his dance last night, as well as the two big groups (vale and the other one).

OneInEight · 10/02/2020 08:25

We too thought the vote was rigged so that each dance captain had two acts left.

We thought anyone who didn't actually use a prop should be eliminated as surely the point was to show they could dance with something in their hands rather than to use it as a theme. The risk that for instance that the two ballroom dancers took was much greater than the others. In fairness how you would throw a jewellery box or chess board about is probably more challenging.

The two little ones did the same dance as last week. But given the boy had only been dancing a year you can see why he has a limited set of moves available even if he is very good at those moves. This is actually true for most of them. Only the ballroom couple have done a different dance each week and shown their versatility which surprises me as I thought that might have been one of the more constraining styles.

Ellmau · 11/02/2020 01:05

Cheryl gave it away a bit - just a couple of hours on a Thursday with their acts.

No - I think those two hours were for their intro dance rehearsal.

Ellmau · 11/02/2020 01:09

Loved Michael and Jowita (and they have a cute cat).

I liked Harrison this week; Ainsley I think is better as a dancer, but I was distracted by the dummy. Lily and Joseph are adorable but obviously more limited than some of the others. Hannah is incredibly flexible, but def felt more of a gymnastic routine. Vale were my favourite group (or onion).

GhostHoward · 15/02/2020 19:20

What’s wrong with Cheryl’s eyes...? Had she got coloured contacts in?

I can’t believe Lily and Joseph and Ainsley Rickets got the same vote percentage...the “cute” vote pisses me off.

xsquared · 15/02/2020 19:21

Anybody watching tonight?

xsquared · 15/02/2020 19:23

I think Cheryl's got contacts in which is why they look starey.

grumpypug · 15/02/2020 19:24

I'm watching.

I think Lily and Joseph are good but don't want them to win. I thought ainsley was ok, I've liked his other dances more. I enjoyed the Vale performance but thought it wasn't as polished as usual. Harrison suits character performances.

grumpypug · 15/02/2020 19:25

Definitely coloured contacts. She usually has dark brown eyes.

xsquared · 15/02/2020 19:30

Harrison's scores are slipping which is a shame. I liked that much better than the previous performances.

ChessieFL · 15/02/2020 19:47

Loved Michael and Jowita. Too many of the other acts are too similar, all that barefooted contempowaft.

64sNewName · 15/02/2020 19:50

Cheryl’s contacts are unsettling.

Really a bit fed up with Lily and Joseph and their jump-and-hug routines.

I was really impressed with both big groups again this week, esp. considering Vale’s lead dancer was out with an injury as of three hours ago.

64sNewName · 15/02/2020 19:51

And I also love M&J. I think they’ll win.

grumpypug · 15/02/2020 19:55

I thought BoD were fantastic again.

GhostHoward · 15/02/2020 20:00

If Lily and Joseph left I’d be happy with anyone else winning.

Agree Harrison’s was his best since his first and he deserved a higher score.

cordelia16 · 15/02/2020 20:08

I absolutely loved Dancepoint and M&J tonight. The others were good, but just didn't impress me as much.

I have a feeling that Harrison might be the one to go home. I would most like to see Lily & Joseph go, but I doubt they will.

xsquared · 15/02/2020 20:09

Michael and Jowita are so elegant and slick.
