But no one has said this. Certainly not all of the criticism is rooted in racism. But I do think that much of it is, not on MN so much, although there has been some, but certainly in other quarters.

I can't get past standing in South Africa where your job is to represent the Queen and draw attention to charities and community projects and using the time to point out how badly you have been treated and how miserable your lives are. Meghan seems to be ploughing the same well-meaning furrow as Gwyneth Paltrow and Angelina Jolie, embodying a particular part of American culture, which does seem rather 'foreign' to British sensibilities.
