I feel desperately sorry for Steph though.

Haven’t been a fan of David’s but he certainly deserves to win based on the show stopper. Steff peaked too early and has cracked under the pressure.

Think Alice had scoliosis and major surgery as a child. Would have made her quite reliant on her parents for a while. It’s a horrible thing to have had. I’m quite surprised there’s been no mention.
I don’t know her - but found out because Scoliosis Association Uk have mentioned it in despatches.

Presumably it was filmed during the Ryanair strike in August - we were on tenterhooks waiting for a relative that weekend for a family occasion. There were hundreds/thousands of people affected, not as simple as jumping on the next flight.

But they have obviously milked the situation for all it's worth!

David has been marked down throughout the series so doubt he will win

I have a paramedic friend - cool as a cucumber on shift. Rest of the time makes everything by the seat of her pants, packs for holidays about an hour before!

God it's excruciating - Bake-off should be joyful .

David should win.

But I think Steph will.

Steph is breaking my heart. Haven't read the full thread but she quite obviously struggles with anxiety and I feel like the final was just too much pressure for her 😢

Heartbreaking to watch her fall apart this week though.

David has to win based on that. It's a travesty if he doesn't.

Steph has been great throughout. But it does seem she's not equipped for what the attention winning will bring her.

People from the final still do well, set up businesses etc. With less attention!!

I feel dreadful for her, she's clearly been through something, explained by her Mum and now I feel bad for being a bit critical for why she's been so aloof.
