Oh this is great!!

I thought the guy in the flat looked awful like him. Could that be linked?

EmmiJay · 10/09/2019 22:07

Ron Perlman!! So surprised!

Shouldibeworriedaboutthis · 10/09/2019 22:08

Oh he gives me the boak! There’s really something about him Envy

Osquito · 10/09/2019 22:13

That was a very Hollywood ending, I think Hmm Futuristic, neon-lit secret basement full of young cool hackers, led by an old guy.

I don’t think the lawyer’s dead, she’s in on it and Sean will be gutted when he finds out.

EmmiJay · 10/09/2019 22:18

I'm intrigued to find out what the actual fudge is going on here now lol love a twist in these dramas/thrillers.

Blondeshavemorefun · 10/09/2019 23:10

Omg. What an ending

And who is doing the cameras and fiddling them

But proves to her he wasn’t lying and that cctv Cameras egg can be altered

And who is the big chief with white hair

And ‘toy soldier’ is it something to do with the shooting cover up

Can’t wait for next week

Blondeshavemorefun · 10/09/2019 23:11

Agree she isn’t dead. But why try and frame him

UrsulaPandress · 10/09/2019 23:18

I found it quite scary that stuff can be manipulated so that you can't believe your eyes.

BitOfFun · 10/09/2019 23:41

I just don't believe that the police can use facial recognition software in that way from grainy CCTV from a high angle.

Italiangreyhound · 11/09/2019 00:08

Wow amazing episode.

I wonder if he is remembering what happened or just 'playing' the video footage he saw, in his mind?

I think he's a goodie. But no idea why it's all happening.

The bit in the taxi was super tense! When the taxi driver says calm down Sean after calling him Shane!

NewModelArmyMayhem18 · 11/09/2019 06:21

That was a brilliant episode. More confused than ever but hopefully our lad is innocent.

Surely on the bus there are blind spots too? And if someone can manipulate public CCTV, there's nothing to say that the bus one couldn't have been tampered with too.

Piggywaspushed · 11/09/2019 07:05

I could tell by the lingering camera that the guy at the end is supposed to be the big name star of the series.... but I genuinely have no idea who Ron Perlman is!

The 'MI5' woman is a known face to me though so her part will develop.

I think it is due to get very silly next episode, sadly.

NewModelArmyMayhem18 · 11/09/2019 07:08

Ron Perlman I know the name well but couldn't for the life of me place him in terms of what he's been in previously. One of the major 'fantasy' children's films of yesteryear?

gem584848838 · 11/09/2019 07:12

Ron Perlman played Hellboy. Might be where a few people recognise him from

Shouldibeworriedaboutthis · 11/09/2019 07:21

I know him from Sons of Anarchy and I’m sure another show called Playing God.

Piggywaspushed · 11/09/2019 08:05

Well, this isn't exactly megastardom then!

Only Perlman I have heard of is Rhea shows age

NewModelArmyMayhem18 · 11/09/2019 08:56

Ohcould they be related @Piggywaspushed?

It's another series with a very good cast though, isn't it?

Piggywaspushed · 11/09/2019 08:59

I don't think they are, having now googled him!

I do think the male lead does a good ambiguous face. Whilst being handsome, he does also look like he could be a nasty piece of work.

LenoVintura · 11/09/2019 09:07

I think the barrister lady is dead, or at the very least, isn't in on it. She's a disposable asset. She could just be captive somewhere. It's not about her. Aside from that, I've got absolutely no idea what's going on.

SoupDragon · 11/09/2019 09:37

This is turning out to be different to what I expected. It's really good.

Ron Perlman was also Vincent (the beast) in a tv show called Beauty and the Beast at the end of the 80s

NewModelArmyMayhem18 · 11/09/2019 11:55

Oh, that's where I knew the name from @SoupDragon - I was half right that it was fantasy (although not really for children). I wouldn't have recognised him from that though.

It's a conspiracy within a conspiracy within a conspiracy thriller isn't it? Who knows what the outcome is going to be?

SoupDragon · 11/09/2019 12:28

I can't work out the logistics of how they faked the cctv footage of no. 48

humansympathique · 11/09/2019 14:33

might it be a bourne type set up? CIA/britishSS/deep military select a non-psychopathic but damaged soldier (see girlfriend's description of his life, insecure, avoid reality ...), reprogram him to react v aggressively to certain cues, and dampen his memory probably not!
I don't get the #48 cctv discrepancy either, but could it be as simple as a time delay so when the cops arrive holliday is simultaneously watching something that has already happened ... probably not!

NewModelArmyMayhem18 · 11/09/2019 14:35

They must be intercepting the CCTV feeds - presumably if they're expert hackers that would be entirely possible?

My brain is addled though, with the false CCTV trail once he'd got into the taxi.

SoupDragon · 11/09/2019 16:04

It's how they faked footage of him going into that house in "real time" that I can't work out.

Was he wearing the same clothes in the footage? Have they used old footage of him somehow?

It doesn't matter but the technicalities are intriguing!
