So we know she is dead

Will we find out who killed her

Was it boyfriend ?

Have hazy memory of last episode

May have to rewatch

Not sure what plot they can use for this series

I really enjoyed it this week. What a superb actress - I think that anyone who’s been alone with a baby can relate, she portrayed it so well. The selfish mum was excellent.

jardy · 30/09/2019 09:50

Absolutely fantastic! Loved it-think it's the best telly ever.Really LOVED the last episode. So Helens fella is not so wonderful. Can't wait for next episode x

zafferana · 30/09/2019 09:55

The Joanie storyline has jumped the shark, IMO. I just don't see the point of it. Plus, Josh Jackson is dead and he was one of the main reasons to watch!

Sierra I find painful to watch - like Whitney used to be - only Whitney is now a more likeable and three-dimensional character. Helen is still a great character. Noah is still vile and self-obsessed. That Sasha was always going to be horrid - but you need a good baddie. Noah is no longer a good baddie - he's just sad.

Blondeshavemorefun · 30/09/2019 21:59

I did feel for Sierra. She has a crying baby. No partner as dead and her mum is selfish. She’s all alone

Tho she should have thought of that before shagging helens partner

Woah, well the latest episode took a bit of a turn! Shock

Nonstopbuttmachine · 02/10/2019 14:05

I found it quite upsetting especially as I've started watching the whole thing again from the beginning (has refreshed my memory of the Noah/Alison story)

zafferana · 03/10/2019 11:26

Ben Cruz was mentioned in the police report that Joanie stood reading - the one that EJ took her to read and quoted bits of back to her. So why did both of them then not recognise the name in Cole's box of cuttings? That made no sense to me. Actually, none of the Joanie storyline makes sense to me. Is it all just to uncover Alison's killer 30 years later????

EachandEveryone · 03/10/2019 20:52

FFS i cant believe Ive just sat through that last episode, what a load of rubbish. Theres just no need for any of the Joanie segments

TheNinkiestNonk · 03/10/2019 23:07

Who is the guy that Joanie met in the cemetery that's the n all this episode? I don't like the joanie episodes or get them? I'm totally confused!!!

Ihatesundays · 03/10/2019 23:09

Joanie stuff is odd. When they first showed her I thought it was in some novel Noah had written.
DH gave up series 2 but I love it still.

Findumdum1 · 04/10/2019 12:29

What was Alisons backstory before gabriel died can someone remind me? why did she say she's been in pain all her life? Flakey mother Athena but what else?

Also why was Gabriel's death her/Cole's fault again?

Figgygal · 04/10/2019 12:34

Just watched this weeks feel sorry for Anna paquin actually as when this final series is thought about in the future it's going to be completely derided by branching off into this Future Joanie segment she's not a bad actress and she is clearly happy with the sex scenes but it's just turning into a completely different show I don't understand why they're doing it

firelightbright · 04/10/2019 12:37

I think they had to go down a different route with two main characters leaving. I would of liked to see Cole and Alison back together properly.

TheNinkiestNonk · 04/10/2019 13:48

Gabriel died from secondary drowning so Alison blames herself for not taking him to hospital?

zafferana · 05/10/2019 09:16

So Ruth Wilson left the series (reportedly because she wasn't being paid anything close to what Dominic West was paid), so did Josh Jackson also quit? That might explain why the writers had to come up with some new way to try and solve Alison's murder, because surely it would've made MUCH more sense to just stick with Cole searching for her killer?

BlessedBeTheFruitCake · 05/10/2019 09:31

Didn't enjoy the Joanie episode very much, it was okish having a small part of an episode with her story.

EachandEveryone · 06/10/2019 06:47

They didn’t have to make it look so futuristic though.

Blondeshavemorefun · 06/10/2019 15:30

Slightly boring as all Joanie

So Joanie is how she is as she all her pain as a child and thinking her mum killed herself and left her

Where we we know she was murdered by bf

Hopefully this will come to light and jisnie can stop torturing herself

Alison blamed Cole for Gabriel’s death too as he was flirting with someone instead of watching out for him in the sea as he was supposed to. Alison went back to the house to get a blanket or towel when it happened. Her mother in law blamed her too, because Alison was a nurse, she thought Alison should have recognised the symptoms of secondary drowning and took him to hospital.

ConfCall · 07/10/2019 13:52

I think it’s a brave and bold concept, looking at how events affected Joanie. It’s a bit of a stretch that she’s a scientist in a specific field, capable of considering that it may not have been suicide, but other than that I quite liked the episode.

It was good to see Luisa, she obviously managed to stay in the USA, she looks well and has enjoyed family life as grandma to Joanie’s girls, so that’s her story closed.

TheNinkiestNonk · 08/10/2019 23:19

Finally the Joanie parts got interesting!

Nonstopbuttmachine · 08/10/2019 23:24

I'm enjoying the storyline and the conflict between Joanie's memory of her mother and the truth.

I've seen the next episode and it's not good. Lapses into ridiculous melodrama which is such a shame as I was just beginning to enjoy the series Sad

Figgygal · 09/10/2019 18:11

Just watching now

Figgygal · 09/10/2019 20:19

Ooh that Ben what a bastard

Blondeshavemorefun · 09/10/2019 21:39

Sneaky Ben

He doesn’t feel guilt

£17k on a wedding dress wow

Do feel a bit sorry for HELENs mum. Coping with dementia ans making sure he isn’t going to burn the house down etx
