I was a lurker on the last thread, I didn't post much, but I loved all of your comments. So the last one was full, here's another one

Miaowing

You may not have mentioned specifics of what happens in the show, but you've specified enough to make it a spoiler.

If it hasn't been broadcast on screen in Coronation Street, any talk of what is coming up is a spoiler unless it's speculation.

So Essie and I speculating about an Xmas scenario is just that, speculation. If, however, we'd read in the Daily Planet That a new character called Xanthor is coming into it and he's going to murder Kev, thats not speculation, that's a spoiler.

If you can't tell the difference, play it safe and say nothing of what's coming up, just discuss what has aired.

ajandjjmum · 11/09/2019 15:47

I heard that spoiler on TV and was well pissed off. To see it repeated on this non-spoiler thread is really irritating - particularly for those who follow the thread and didn't know.

MonkeyToesOfDoom · 11/09/2019 16:32

Please everyone report spoilers as soon as you see them.
I try too in the hopes of damage limitation, but I'm often not the first to see them.

Just hit report and put spoilers as the reason.. MNHQ don't like spoilers either.

ajandjjmum · 11/09/2019 16:48

Have to say, I reported to MNHQ, and it was deleted within minutes.

SgtFredColon · 11/09/2019 21:11

I haven’t watched in a few weeks but saw some last night. Is Robert engaged to both Vicky and Michelle??!

Queenoftheashes · 11/09/2019 21:18

Yeah he’s just being implausibly ridiculous

Honeyroar · 11/09/2019 21:22

I found it pretty tough to watch tonight. Lost a great friend to cancer recently.

Redshoeblueshoe · 11/09/2019 21:28

Absolutely brilliant writing and acting tonight.

Miaowing · 11/09/2019 21:32

I’ve always thought Sinead actor was quite good.

My rule of thumb is generally if you see an interview with the actor and they are nothing like their character, then they are pretty good - I’m thinking Roy, David, Maureen lipman, Sinead etc

If they are exactly like their character then they aren’t acting

MonkeyToesOfDoom · 11/09/2019 21:33

There was glimmers tonight of that thing that actors do... You know, act.. don't see that often in Corrie. 😝

eddiemairswife · 11/09/2019 21:38

Harrowing, but acted well.

DaveCoachesgavemetheclap · 11/09/2019 21:40

Agreed- great acting. I cried Blush

Honeyroar · 11/09/2019 22:02

I cried too. Even Daniel was pretty convincing!

BeneathTheMist · 11/09/2019 22:17

Very moving story (I also saw the spoiler unfortunately on Twitter a few days ago)

ellenanora5 · 11/09/2019 22:24

Sinead and Daniel were great tonight, they got a chance to show their skills, a rare thing in Corrie nowadays.

keepondreaming · 11/09/2019 22:33

Agree with you. Tonight's episodes, especially the second which was just Sinead and Daniel, was heartbreaking and very well acted. I cried too.

sweetkitty · 11/09/2019 22:50

That was a tough episode.

When I flicked over the Sky blurb had the spoiler which was really annoying.

Awwlookatmybabyspider · 12/09/2019 00:27

I’ve just watched it then. I’m sobbing
Credit where it’s due the actors who play Sinead and Daniel were brilliant.

BettyBooJustDoinTheDoo · 12/09/2019 00:33

I found that a harrowing watch, Sinead and Daniel were excellent, it must have been really stressful to act scenes like that, It was very moving and it’s playing on my mind, just like Aidan’s suicide did, I’ve had to put a comedy on to lift my spirits.

BettyBooJustDoinTheDoo · 12/09/2019 00:36

On a more cheerful note I agree Mrs Tembe and her husband (can’t remember their names) cannot act for toffee, they are as wooden as their rickety, round the wrong way staircase.

SunshineAngel · 12/09/2019 00:36

I don't think I'm going to be able to watch until after the Sinead storyline is over. I have severe health anxiety and when something like this happens (that could happen to any woman, and she got given the all clear obviously wrongly) terrifies me. If I were to watch it, I would basically convince myself I would get the same thing as her, and definitely die.. so I am tuning out for a little while :(.

BettyBooJustDoinTheDoo · 12/09/2019 00:50

I’m thinking of doing the same Sunshine I stopped watching when Hayley was diagnosed.

JoxerGoesToStuttgart · 12/09/2019 08:19

Agree that was a fantastic episode. Very well done. Unfortunately I also won’t be watching for some time. I come to Corrie for light relief and this just isn’t it. I don’t want to spend my evenings watching a young woman dying and her family grieving. There is already far too much of that IRL.

ajandjjmum · 12/09/2019 08:57

Tonight's episodes, especially the second which was just Sinead and Daniel, was heartbreaking and very well acted. I cried too.

Ditto

I also thought it was extremely well written - not all hearts, flowers and hugs, but the irritation and anger than must come in that situation. So sad.

NoLeopard · 12/09/2019 10:09

Here's an idea. Soaps want to be 'real life', and show heartbreak, death, crime, bullying etc, why can't they have also have a happy family? A family that love each other and, well, just live out their lives having minor upsets. It happens in real life, why not in a made-up drama? Couldn't they just have left them alone from now on?
