I was a lurker on the last thread, I didn't post much, but I loved all of your comments. So the last one was full, here's another one

Who do you all think is the father of the girl that just recently lost someone?

Guessing isn’t spoiling, is it?

I thought it was Steve?

I think it's Steve - he's very fertile.

I don't think the writers are clever enough to pull a convincing bait and switch on this story line tbh.

I still think it could be Jim because Steve said "it could be my dad for all I know" and Liz said "it's definitely not his, I know that for a fact". She's always wrong when Jim is involved.

Had to laugh at Gemma's Mum telling her to close her mouth when she was eating .The writers must be reading the threads on here

Someone upthread did say that a DNA test would give a definitive result, and not say the father could be either Steve or Jim - who obviously share some DNA.

I think it’s Jim too and Liz brushed it off as if she knew Jim had had the snip but I think that’s gonna be another storyline, either Jim’s snip didn’t work, or he didn’t get it in the first place, which knowing how much of a liar Jim can be, then this is the scenario I’m leaning more towards.

What has Gemma’s mum been in before? She looks very familiar?

I actually don’t watch Casualty and haven’t since the 1990s so she has probably been in a few other things because I couldn’t have seen her on Casualty.

I remember her in Casualty, she played a very different character from the one she plays now! She's so horrible, but will they turn her into a real sweetie, as they so often do!

Re Jim/Steve DNA - they wouldn't have identical DNA because Steve's is a combination of Jim + Liz, whilst Jim's would be a combination of his parents, I think. (Disclaimer : I have zero scientific knowledge, but do watch a lot of police procedurals!)

I can't place Gemma's mum either, but know her from somewhere (I don't watch Casualty too).

I'm calling it now: Daniel will cheat on Sinead with Bethany and Gemma's mom will sleep with Michael (that's the older brother isn't it)

Why would they cheat? Who is Micheal?

Bethany is acting well.

I don't think Daniel will cheat. He may be a lot of things but he really does seem dedicated to Bertie and Sinead.
I'd like to see Daniel reverting back to his old self when he first.came into it. He was a bit nuts and interesting, he's kind of become a bit of a soppy puppy..

Is it me or have the one liners got better? It's been a while since I've laughed at these. The last 4 episodes have had some great ones.

The Geoff storyline is very hard to watch but that's only because of personal experience.

Bethany is a great actress and is reminding us what she's capable of by bringing that storyline into play again.

The Geoff storyline is moving too quickly, as usual. They're a good pair of actors. Them and Bethany balance up Steve's one trick pony script (stupid face pulling while trying to think of a stupid excuse).

Bethany is good to watch because she can act. She looks so pretty with a very natural look atm.

Yeah Bethany is a gorgeous looking girl, and what beautiful skin she has and huge bambi eyes.

What do you reckon the back story is with the new family and money?

Mmmn something to do with the eldest son screwing up? He seems like he wants to have his fingers in lots of pies, the Unicorn parties, the positive pregnant tests and he had t shirts too, with prints on them, when he first came into it.

I actually like the new family, they are very Corrie, however I’m not that interested in them if you see what I mean, not yet anyway.
