Oooh there was a spoiler on the radio???

I heard the radio 2 interview and I'm pretty sure it wasn't a spoiler. I AMM said something like "I'd forgotten that Steven's character..." and was blatantly about to say "dies". Zoe seemed to think she was talking about Steve Arnott and said something like "ooh, no spoilers!" And then there was a bit of back and forth but I'm sure Anna said "Steven Graham" to clear it up.
Unrelated but AMM sounds like she's loads of fun in real life.

I saw that on the bbc news website this morning, 1st thing I thought of was Jackie Laverty!

On google LOD searches the phrase “is line of duty real?” comes up. I have always rolled my eyes that,(implicitly lots of) people could think this, given the almost casual body count, executions and HQ shoot outs. Today’s shocking freezer discovery is sobering indeed. 😢

There was a guy in Camden a few years ago who killed women and had body parts in his flat. It’s very unsettling. Plus the rapist on the run (on bbc news website)

Can anybody give me an idea of how far through the Today programme Vicky McClure's interview was, please? I'd love to hear it.

It was about 8.20/8.30 this morning.

BitOfFun Vicky McClure wasn't on R4 to talk about LOD. The interview was to promote the Dementia Choir programme she presents which starts on Thursday. It was only right at the end the presenters said they couldn't let her go without mentioning LOD, they had a laugh about the public interest and all the Ted memes etc, then tried to get her to reveal the ending. Which of course she didn't.

Only worth a listen if you want to know more about the Dementia programme. Vicky McClure is ace though.

There was a thread on here not long ago by someone who'd thought LoD was real or based on real events, because of the 'what happened to the characters' text at the end!

I cannot remember if we discussed this. Whose DNA will they find on Jackie Laverty? Didn't they threaten someone in season 1 or 2 that they can get a body put of cold storage with their DNA on the body? Or am I making this up?

Think Gates' DNA would be on her body as he was with her (remember him secreting away the cut glass brandy tumbler he'd been drinking from?) the evening she was murdered. He saw the masked men slit her throat I seem to recall and was he knocked out?

Yeah, I reckon Gates or Arnott. I can't think that they could have anybody else's.

The fact that they did Steve’s finger at about the same time makes me think they’ve planted his DNA on Jackie but even so, he could quote easily argue his way out of that.
