In hindsight this series seems more like a filler/laying the groundwork till we get the Big Reveal & Blockbuster of Series 6.

Going back to Corbett's wife a sec. When Kate and Steve went to see her in the last episode she was living in a house. My son and I are convinced she was in a flat earlier in the series. Did anyone else think this or did we just not pay enough attention?

Agree that this series felt like a filler. I am still disappointed.

We were trying to work out where in Liverpool it is. We could see Radio City's tower and the Anglican Cathedral, but couldn't quite tell its location. Any native Scousers able to help?

I’m really annoyed by the “there’s 4 H’s thing” it’s like it was segued in once they knew there’d be a season 6. It may have seemed more convincing if the morse for H wasn’t 4 dots, or that the person giving the message wasn’t called Dot. It was farcical really.

Looking forward to what Shrine of Duty made of it all.

Anyway, apart from the fuckwitted finger fandango, I enjoyed that very much. Nice long interviews, Kate and Steve rushing all over the country, Carmichael is fab.

I was really confused when watching it why I thought I could see Liverpool’s Cathedral in The Midlands! I hadn’t actually worked out that Mrs Corbett lived in Liverpool until I read this thread just now. The “blue lighting it” makes sense now- they went to Liverpool and back!!

The RC cathedral in Liverpool is unlike any other so must have been photoshopped in.

Finally caught up. I loved it.

A couple of thoughts

• wasn’t the clear implication of Ted having the “missing” £50,000 that he is corrupt?
• I’m pretty sure the reply Ryan gave at his interview was word for word what that nice PC said to him in series 1 (but I’m so sad I’m going to check...)
• getting Ryan “inside” was the reason Lise didn’t name him as Corbett’s killer
• I’m sure I recognised the house Jill went to at the end (but it is very possible I’m confusing it with an episode of “Vera”)
