Series 1 was linked in series 2 when Denton was assigned to MISPERs and she briefly flicked past Jackie Laverty's mug shot in the database, listed as still missing.

Tommy Hunter starts in series 1 and is obviously linked throughout.

Ryan from series 1 is now back in it. As is the frozen corpse of JL!

All the series are intertwined.

Wolfcubisthefemalenominal · 22/04/2019 19:22

Cheers fella

Nanna50 · 22/04/2019 19:25

Was Mrs Ted kneecapped?

I think he wasn’t suspended because Ted wants Steve within sight so he can have his intel, because either Steve is getting too close or because he might blow Ted’s plan / undercover op or whatever the hell is going on???

YaBentBastard · 22/04/2019 19:30

Did anyone else notice the dodgy dubbing when Ted was talking to Kate in his office (just before he went to give Steve a dressing down)? He said 5 police officers had been killed, but his lips said 4 and you could hear the over-dubbing. 38min 30secs if anyone’s interested.

SuckingDieselNow · 22/04/2019 19:34

Yes! I noticed that too. Thought the tv has gone funny 😂

whenskiesaregrey · 22/04/2019 19:38

Rewatched last night's episode and picked up on a couple of things - namely Corbett asking his wife if they knew about his mum in their phone conversation. And that his mum and dad died 5 years apart. Still confused as hell though. Starting to wonder how Ted is not involved now.

Muddlingalongalone · 22/04/2019 19:39

Checking in - nothing new to add.
Interesting the Link to Rupert Penry Jones - I bet Adam Carter would have solved the mystery by now

EllebellyBeeblebrox · 22/04/2019 19:55

Found you wee gobshites. Can't wait a week for answers Angry

MerryInthechelseahotel · 22/04/2019 20:28

Oh Ted fella we didn't float up the Lagan in a bubble either, you know!

BettysLeftTentacle · 22/04/2019 20:33

Placemarking, you wee gobshites!

NoWordForFluffy · 22/04/2019 20:41

We're re-watching this series! 😂

Pomegranatepompom · 22/04/2019 20:57

I need to rewatch but find it too uncomfortable.
Convinced Lisa is uco being managed by Ted - can't believe Ted is anything but honourable but puzzled why he isn't able to move on from his ex and spent 3 years in a Travelodge. Also v suspicious of the new girl in the office, although the meet didn't seem that secret, also not sure why a meet was engineered (might have missed this).

TracyBeakerSoYeah · 22/04/2019 21:05

Just rewatched last nights episode as DH had missed it.
When Hastings was pretending to be 'H' & communicating with John & Lise through the lap top, I originally thought from the looks on their faces that they were either confused and/or thinking this doesn't sound quite right.
But now having rewatched & going through pps theories, I think Lise looked more shocked when Ted as 'H' typed the line I need you to bring all this to a close". Lise taking that as John needed to be silenced.
But then was the message for John to silence everyone else?
I'm hoping (but not likely due to the amount of blood lost) that John might do a sort of Bobby from Dallas (minus the dream) & not really be dead.

youlladdressmeassir · 22/04/2019 21:33

Checking into the new thread

I don't have new theories, I just going along for the ride.

At the end of thread 2, a poster said Lee had been in Series 2. Was he? I don't remember him

WhoWants2Know · 22/04/2019 21:40

I'm pretty sure they'll have made sure John was dead, and I'm guessing his body is going to be displayed conspicuously to deter potential rats.

I don't think Lise is a UCO. I think she's just realises exactly what's at stake. There's no way out for any of them but death or jail, and the OCG has some kind of leverage on everyone. She's spent the whole of this season telling John that he needs to be afraid of the person behind the laptop and what happened to Tommy Hunter. Maybe they plan to hurt someone she loves if she doesn't play along. With all the emphasis on Kate, Maneet & John's kids, I wonder if she has a kid out there at risk.

Dickorydockwhatthe · 22/04/2019 21:48

Marking my place. Who was the police officer in series one who wanted Arnott to lie in court about killing the wrong person??

HeirToTheIronThrone · 22/04/2019 21:57

Place marking too.

Just caught up on last night Shock I have never gasped so loudly at a TV programme as I did when John met his end!

I need a lie down having watched that and GoT in the same night...

BestIsWest · 22/04/2019 22:02

It’s Bill Gigolo (thanks) definately.

OldSpeclkledHen · 22/04/2019 22:07

Place marking!
So many red herrings!
So much intrigue!
Bloody brilliant!

JackieLavertyIsInMyFreezer · 22/04/2019 22:08

Dickory I think he was called Osborne

Tinkoschminko · 22/04/2019 22:12

Kate has been suspiciously under-used this series...

Gill has to be the head honcho. No one else has really been developed enough this series for it to pack a punch when we get the big reveal. She’s also more than au fait (probably) will Ted’s literacy skills.

longwayoff · 22/04/2019 22:22

Where's Mr Laverty, millionaire property developer? Have a firm feeling we'll be meeting him before this is over.

Tinkoschminko · 22/04/2019 22:24

Remember that Jackie killed her accountant? What for again?

SinkGirl · 22/04/2019 22:26

Just catching up with the comments and there’s a few things I can answer...

Anne-Marie is Corbett’s mother, who died before he was 10, and he was then adopted from NI to Liverpool. It’s his wife that brings up her name, I didn’t hear him say anything about mum, but maybe she’s referring to his birth mother and he’s referring to his adoptive mother?

Lee Banks was arrested after the raid in episode 2 - he was one of the guys identified from the phone cam footage of the witness, bundling Maneet into the van, and he was the guy John shoved out of the way when he was about to shoot one of the AFOs

Sam was asking about the relevance of the pattern of injuries she had, and then later either Steve or Kate said that it matches the MO of NI paramilitary (didn’t catch the exact wording but that was the gist).

So either Ted was in the NI paramilitary and killed Corbett’s mother and / or father. Or Ted is Corbett’s father. That’s my current theory.

With the fingerprints, they said he gave his prints so he could be ruled out when they’re finger printing crime scenes. I’m guessing the adoption had his finger prints linked, as a way of keeping track, so that’s why it flagged up.

The money that came from Moffat - Moffat specifically said it was “more details about the project” or something like that, right? I can’t remember where in the episode it came - just wondering if that’s a pay off for doing something specific (eg giving the farenheit order, going to see Banks and potentially revealing Corbett or some other info etc). It can’t be the loan they discussed as he wouldn’t say it was “more information”, he’d say here’s your loan and I need it back. Or it’s his original stake, returned - but why?

In terms of the handling of the trafficked women, I understand the concerns. However, they’ve chosen that storyline because it’s a way for bent coppers to have their DNA harvested and used against them, and so that people like Prasad and Cole have access through their work in Vice. I had some issues with the way the child abuse storyline was handled but I don’t think they’re finished with it yet.

IT didn’t set it up to automatically spell things the same - they came up with a (totally useless) flowchart of responses. Ted was very good at it though - it his first time on the old OCG-IM, methinks.

I posted right at the end of the last thread when I just finished rewatching S2 as it threw up a few things for me - mainly my radar is now alerting af Morton. Who was giving him that cash, and why? Surely it’s not just a sloppy “because he’s bent”?!

And what did Tommy Hunter think was happening when they were ambushed? Where did he think they were going? He knew they were off course. I think there’s still more to that than we know.

SinkGirl · 22/04/2019 22:28

I am not sure Gill was introduced early enough to be H to be honest, I’d find that annoying. And I’m 98% sure we won’t find out who H really is this reason.
