ED = erectile dysfunction.

I think Steve is suspicious of Sam's motives for getting back with him tbh. Whether is personal or professional doubts about her I'm not sure. If she really cared about him, would she have left his place?

TedIsINNOCENT · 29/04/2019 12:37

I'm confused which one Ryan is then Grin

ElenadeClermont · 29/04/2019 12:48

Oh, thank you.

DH and I thought Steve and Sam had no intimacy, it was all so clinical.

ElenadeClermont · 29/04/2019 12:49

@CoolCarrie I like the sound of that.

JamesBoredom · 29/04/2019 12:52

They would recognise Ryan but he could be useful to them. Maybe Ryan will be their undercover as a result of his contacts - but will he go rogue or stay straight?

JamesBoredom · 29/04/2019 12:53

Maybe Ryan already is undercover. They did catch him once after all...

samsamsamsamsamsam · 29/04/2019 13:13

I think Steve stopped himself in time because he suspects Sam.

He didnt want another Lindsay Denton scenario.

popehilarious · 29/04/2019 13:18

@AngelinaNeurosurgeon they managed to track down Ted (once Lisa had conveniently taken him to the warehouse full of loot....) using Miroslav's phone, I believe- Steve mentioned it. They couldn't follow him after surveilling the nightclub because they used yet another secret exit the police didn't have covered.

wowfudge · 29/04/2019 13:21

Good point pope - I'd forgotten they moved him to where the loot was being stored.

randomlygenorated · 29/04/2019 13:21

I was thinking Ryan might be doing a triple bluff, wasn't he the kid that the policeman in series 1 went to his house and offered to take out for a burger to try and get him on the straight and narrow? So maybe they recruited him to be under cover?!

But then he did slit someone's throat which i guess is pretty illegal!

Also I can't remember but the money in the envelope in teds room, did he receive it before or after gill went to his room? What if Moffat did give him papers and gill swapped it for money? So he's not lying when he says he didn't give ted money? 🤷🏻‍♀️ I don't know if it fits though

I actually am kind of thinking that gill might be a goody though, she seems to stick up for red and the team a lot and she's so easy to dislike and write off as a baddy that maybe she's not

I'm sure Steve and Kate and ted are all in cahoots and this is all part of a bigger plan to flush out H and ted either told them to report him or will easily forgive them as they did what they should to the letter of the law THE LETTER!! surely he knows (relyed) on them having no choice but to report their suspicions?

These are my thoughts, thank you 🙏

Also ted must have known they would see him going into the night club, he agreed the surveillance so he's defo innocent 💃🏻

Do you think Theres a significance with that armed officer that has twice now been on the scene and seemingly high up when the OCG escape through a back exit they 'didn't know about'? 🤔

NigesFakeWalkingStick · 29/04/2019 13:31

@wowfudge I could have sworn he said 'who is H' to Lisa.

BillGiggeloe · 29/04/2019 13:31

@randomlygenorated KYLE, he's definitely (not definately) a bit shifty!

Leakinglikeacolander · 29/04/2019 13:39

Even if Ryan joined the police under a new id, he would be recognised surely, not least by Steve who had his hand trapped in the vice by him. In fact Than was the one trying to cut his fingers off wasn't he?

NotMyPuppy · 29/04/2019 13:49

If Ted is H, why did he look so genuinely gutted when AC12 were pulled off the Lear Tree investigation?

I think he’s being framed and it’ll be down to Kate and Steve to save the day...

ElenadeClermont · 29/04/2019 14:02

@randomlygenorated That firearms officer had an awful lot of lines for LOD.

ElasticFirecracker · 29/04/2019 14:04

@popehilarious I completely agree, The name 'H' only came into existence when Dot indicated it was the first letter of the senior bad person's name. That designation did not exist before then, so it's totally weird that it has suddenly become

ElasticFirecracker · 29/04/2019 14:05

... his/her name or code name. The importance given to the name Just seems daft to me.

RedForShort · 29/04/2019 14:07

Thanks TedsFederationRep! That's that mystery cleared up.

I just can't see Ryan joining the police. I know it's the No. 1 theory but it doesn't seem very feasible for all reasons mentioned (his record, being known by police). Possibly it was just included to show just how psychopath (sociopathic?) he is. "miss the fun" and having a chat about interviews and exams whilst a body is being disposed of. (Though like most all my theories there's a bit I can't explain- why he needs a job seeing he'll be benefiting fincially. through organised crime. Unless it's another - quite formal OCG he's interviewing for!!)

wowfudge · 29/04/2019 14:08

@NigesFakeWalkingStick - you win the name change, hands down! I've just re-watched the nightclub and lock up scenes and Ted refers to H so Lisa knows he is claiming to be H and later asks, "Where is he?" referring to Clayton/Corbett.

To the pp who asked about the money - Moffat gave Ted a brown envelope in the pub and said it contained documents relating to the proposition he'd made him and Ted replied he hadn't had chance to make a decision. Moffat told him to take his time and read the info, so didn't take it off him. Previously Moffat had told him he needed to put in £100k to get in on the deal and ultimately get his money back and more, but that they could find a way to loan him that cash as they were aware he'd sold his house, etc. Once it was revealed there was a wodge of cash in the envelope, it was assumed to be the whole £100k.

NoWordForFluffy · 29/04/2019 14:09

Oh yeah, we've decided that Kyle is a bent copper!

SavageBeauty73 · 29/04/2019 14:09

I'm not enjoying this series as much as one, two and three. I think it's gone downhill in quality. The Hastings storyline is tedious. He's got many years experience; he wouldn't leave 50 grand in his hotel room after previously being financially investigated by Denton.

I'm disappointed!!!!

JamesBoredom · 29/04/2019 14:09

The only other reason it’s pertinent to allude to Ryan’s future is because he’s going to end up dead.
