Do we need this or is there another one already started?

I only just caught up with the second episode of the new season and had been avoiding the last thread for a bit so as not to see spoilers and it is now full!

Ignore me if there is a new thread already on the go. If not feel free to use this one mate.

All the main players are women. Only Hastings and Arnott are left!! Women are taking over. Therefore H is a woman!

wowfudge · 21/04/2019 23:02

Fingerprints from the flat he was living in were cross-referenced with the police database of elimination prints every officer gives when they join. By finding Corbett's prints, Tatleen could access his records and found he'd been adopted at the age of 10 and his name was changed to that if his adoptive parents. He moved from Belfast to Liverpool after being adopted. Presumably officers can't simply access each other's HR files.

diddl · 21/04/2019 23:02

Wasn't it Arnott being at the Print shop that gave Corbett away as the "rat"?

Babysharkdododont · 21/04/2019 23:03

The fingerprints were just a reference to having found his flat, and confirming it was his due to the prints I think?

yumyumpoppycat · 21/04/2019 23:03

The typing communication had also made me think it might be a woman and possibly gill B who is H - but it would undermine everything a bit if H is a lawyer and not proper police? Also I think it will suck a bit if the person covering up all the boys home stuff is a woman.

HastaLaVistaPrint · 21/04/2019 23:05

I still don’t get how fingerprints lead back to a birth certificate. All the fingerprints would show is that he is indeed John Corbett.

Aldicheckoutworkout · 21/04/2019 23:06

You'd send it by bank transfer too.
Moffat has to be dodgy AF. Thats why its cash because they'll be no paper trail and he's probably got it via illegal means /ocg.

HastaLaVistaPrint · 21/04/2019 23:08

Sorry, xpost with fudge. Presumably once it became clear that Corbett had gone wrong AC12 would have been able to see his paperwork though, why would they need to have fingerprints for that?

Jackie Laverty folds up small, doesn’t she?

NoWordForFluffy · 21/04/2019 23:11

She does considering she seemed much bigger in the chest freezer and presumably didn't defrost en route?!

NoWordForFluffy · 21/04/2019 23:14

Unless...John as a 10 year old was suspected of wrong doing (before the name change) and his prints were still on file? Though that's far-fetched, and I wouldn't have expected the prints to be kept from a crime if somebody was innocent.

NoisyBrain · 21/04/2019 23:15

Judas thank you. There are so many names being bandied about I've forgotten who's who! Think I need to go back and binge watch Series 1-4 again Smile

Ukelou · 21/04/2019 23:16

When Corbett went in to deep cover they wiped all his police records. They didn't wipe his prints though so they could trace him through them but typing it it seems odd

Muddlingalongalone · 21/04/2019 23:17

Shocked & still recovering. Was about 1/2hr behind so had to avoid mn & Twitter.
Def think Lise is undercover. Good call Kate using her. In fact Kate's been quite quiet overall really.
Poor Terry.....Didn't Steve get on with him/show empathy towards him at some stage?

wowfudge · 21/04/2019 23:18

They triangulated phone calls to the flat and got his fingerprints proving he was using a specific phone. Evidence allowing them to dig further.

Italiangreyhound · 21/04/2019 23:21

UCOinanOCG "Can't wait for the next Shrine of Duty podcast." Link, please?

BentBaastard · 21/04/2019 23:24

Man alive (or dead)

That was utterly shocking.......

NoWordForFluffy · 21/04/2019 23:28

Throat-slitting is always harrowing, I think.

wowfudge · 21/04/2019 23:32

The trafficking of the young women was horrific too, with the gang playing cards and drinking whilst those women were being raped.

pinkandstripey · 21/04/2019 23:34

Why did they focus in on terry's flat being B?? Who lives in flat H??

Who was driving ted from the prison??

wowfudge · 21/04/2019 23:35

I'm convinced the envelope of cash and allowing La Bungalow to get close to him are part of a Ted master plan that he's just not sharing with the rest of his team.

showmethegin · 21/04/2019 23:36

@pinkandstripey I said that to DP! If it was a secret visit, who the hell was driving?!

Dickorydockwhatthe · 21/04/2019 23:36

I just don’t know what to believe after that!! I’ve been binging all week and finally caught up how am I going to survive a week not knowing 😬. Ted definitely wasn’t himself with his usual one liners in this episode 😞

pineapplebryanbrown · 21/04/2019 23:41

But how could Ted have been in the RUC if he's Catholics plus don't think you can be a Mason if RC. Is Ted a Mason? Remember the funny handshakes with "Rita, Sue and Bob too" Bob?

Italiangreyhound · 21/04/2019 23:48

"Rita, Sue and Bob too" Bob" oh yes, of course!
