I only just caught up with the second episode of the new season and had been avoiding the last thread for a bit so as not to see spoilers and it is now full!

Jackie L was in 2 freezers, first the one in the derelict torture place where Tony Gates saw it, then it was moved to the freezer in the young man's flat. We haven't seen any more of it or him, since.

I thought I'd drempt the part about the young man and the freezer it was so long ago I watched it, thanks for confirming it could still be a huge part of the storyline to find Jackie's body.

Like a previous poster I'm confused about how Hargreaves knew about the trackers...surely they were put there on orders of AC-12.

I've been listening to the shrineofduty podcasts, lots of good theories on there.
Last week they had some really convincing arguments on how Kate Fleming could be H!

Little shit Ryan had a social worker in the first series whose name was Hargreaves, don’t know if she is was related, Corbett definitely made the AC 12 id stuff before, not after he spoke to Arnott, so he was planning something.

Did anyone get the chance to read the social work report on Lise properly? What did it say?

It was a referral to youth offending as a 15 year old although I couldn't see details of her offences or actions to be taken.

Yes, absolutely, but when Steve and Kate brought Ted the intell that the Eastfield depot would be targeted, Ted said, "I'll have to run it past the DCC". So the DCC (would this be the woman who "can't be a mason because she's a woman"?) would have known about the trackers and could have fed this to Hargreaves.

This would be the same woman Kate went to in a previous series for UCO authorisation. Just wish I could remember her name....

H is Hargreaves. I don’t think it’s a coincidence that Sam is sniffing around Steve again, she works for Hargreaves, as did Steve’s ex Jolly Rogerson. Hargreaves wants them to keep tabs on Steve.*

This has been my belief since early S4 too but I guess last night’s episode means Hargreaves is not H - unless he is H, but there’s someone above him too.

Hargreaves was on the board of potential H’s last year. I looked very closely at all - Hastings, Hargreaves and Hilton were the only recognisable ones of the 8

Can never be sure of anything here, diddl, but balaclava-ed man with nutmeg legs gets out of car, walks towards OCG, converses with them. OCG then find and extract the trackers from the cars. Corbett then opens fire on nutmeg legs who collapses to the ground. Kate attends, pulls mask off gravely injured man, and finds it's Hargreaves. Up until that point, there was no indication that any of the OCG knew about the trackers (although it stands to reason that Corbett must have done, as someone from the gang would have to access the cars to plant them in the first place).

What I still can't work out is why Hargreaves was there in the first place. He had nothing to gain. The only plausible explanation is that he was ordered to attend by the real boss, H, as it's unlikely he would respond to an order from Lise.

Yes, Hargreaves could have been H, but obvs not the top guy!

@tedsfederationrep I wondered how they got the trackers on the cars but then it occurred to me that they were hidden amongst the stuff being stolen.

Like your thinking, MissKittyCat! That would explain why we didn't see the trackers on the AC12 laptop until after the OCG started loading the boots and the van and why one of the trackers seemed to be moving about a bit in a small circle. If that's the case, the only way the crims would have known about the trackers would be from a police leak via Hargreaves. After all, Corbett gave Steve Lise's burner number so he could track her via that.

So on Danny's list in there is another H - Paul Haleton. Is this a potential lead?

I think Hargreaves could have been compelled to turn up by Lise. The OCG had been collecting his DNA from sexual encounters with minors.

Yep they did say the trackers were inside the stolen goods. On the referral for Lise it said “Dear Mr Carter” not sure if that’s relevant. I started re-watching series 1 tonight. Agree something fishy about Sam
