When Cafferty-pretending-to-be-Steve speaks to Mrs Ted at the front door he refers to her as Ma'am. In a previous series I remember Gill saying "I'm not police so don't call me ma'am". So does Cafferty know that Mrs Ted is police/ex-police? Do we know anything about her career? Ted always goes on about his marriage vows - I reckon if he'd go bent for anyone it'd be his wife... (And she's suddenly playing a much more significant role this series...)

Ugh I mean Corbett-pretending-to-be-Steve - too many names!

Just something I picked up on - Corbett had created his mock AC12 ID before the raid on the print shop and before the big job. So had had it planned to impersonate Arnott way before he betrayed his trust.

I think if Hastings was H then surely £100k wouldn’t have seemed such an impossible sum to get hold of.

H would have had backhanders and wealth for years

We saw Jackie Laverty's frozen corpse when they made Gates (Lennie James) look at it. Then it went missing again. Waistcoats thinks it's in the same storage facility as dumped body of Leone from Season 4.

But it has not yet been recovered. There was definitely a suggestion that the chap with down syndrome was inadvertently storing it.

I’ve had a theory since season 2 and I am still convinced...
I don’t think it was Tommy Hunter who was killed ... we never saw his face before he got in the car, and then he was so badly burned that he was covered in bandages and then he was killed but why would anyone have identified him at that point because they ‘knew’ the dead man was Tommy Hunter.
I think Tommy H is still alive and pulling the strings. Please someone tell me I’m not on my own on this!!

I also think Lisa is the child of someone who Tommy H wronged/trafficked/killed, hence why she was put in care, and now she is trying to track him down.

Ted is definitely (with an i!) being set up. Chekhov's cistern is something to do with it, it was meant to be being fixed but wasn't then Gill whatsherface uses the toilet, is something being planted there?!

@CaptainCave I thought we did see Tommys face in the car because he pulled the blanket down to ask what was going on when they were going a different route, so his face was definitely shown if i recall correctly.

Actuallly no, just re watched the beginning of that episode again and you're right you don't see his face although i was 99% certain we did! How bizarre!

@CaptainCaveMum cool theory! You do see his face - he uncovers it in the flashback (S2E6), but he could have been swapped out while bandaged in hospital? Ooooh so many options, head spinning!

No sorry to post again, its episode 6 where you see Hunters face in the car. 50th minute in. I knew I definitely saw it! It is a flashback scene.

sukie and roz I’ll check it out tomorrow... I’m wondering whether he could still have escaped and another body placed in car as I’m sure Lindsey Denton was only surviving witness and wasn’t she knocked out or similar?

At this point I’m starting to wonder if anyone who is meant to be dead is actually dead and whether they’re not all off living in a nice village away from normal civilisation and pulling the strings from there 😩

Ah yes she could well be since Lise is known to social services and Carly was too. I did think Lise was part of the OCG for her own personal reasons / vengeance and perhaps she was groomed as a child / teen similar to Carly? So could know each other that way. Are we to presume Carly is still alive as was there not a scene with her waiting for a ferry or something? Maybe she will make an appearance at some point. Anything is possible 🤣
