I only just caught up with the second episode of the new season and had been avoiding the last thread for a bit so as not to see spoilers and it is now full!

I also reckon Jackie Laverty had something to do with the original dodgy property deal where Ted lost all his money. As she was a bent property dealer wasn't she?

So many loose ends to tie up! The death of her accountant (who she ran over) somehow got put aside too.

Where is the investigation into Maneet's death?

Ok.....I am relying on Google & my memory here (the series are blurring into one giant confusion) - Jackie Laverty’s body was never found!!

I still think Dot is alive!

I though dna was found on her but maybe there was just a suggestion dna would be found.

I dont think her body has been found? It's in the freezer of the man with down's syndrome.

Theres a scene, I think in series 2, where Denoton is searching through missing persons cases and she flicks past Jackie Laverty and it says "missing".

I dont think shes been mentioned since then? Except her photo being on the wall of course

Pretty sure Jackie Laverty’s body hasn’t been found - her DNA was found in the chest freezer in the warehouse at the end of series 1 when Steve had his hand put in a vice by the baddies who tried to cut off his fingers. DCI Tony Gates then came back and rescued Steve, belted that terror, Ryan, and handcuffed him to the drain pipe.

Can’t help but agreeing with you.

I find it hard to take a single person at face value anymore and whilst I know that Mercurio probably thinks it makes it pacey etc it’s making my brain hurt and not in a good way like in S2,3 and 4.

I must, must get round to watching S1 this week; I suspect not doing so could cost me in understanding this series.

Like...I don’t know how anyone can get proper enjoyment out of S5/4/3 etc as the huge array of subtle yet key references to earlier series were pivotal to my understanding of wtf was going on.

By the way, I now cannot divorce Ted’s anxious/curious face from Feathers McGraw, whoever made that link I at once want to hug and punch you

Don't the OCG use H as the codename too? Seems stupid to use their initial so I'm with it being another red herring.

Ted is giving the appearance of being stupid at the moment. I don't think he is. So my theory is that he is still concerned about AC12 being infiltrated, so is trying to give the impression that H has been found in the hope that they do something to reveal themselves. Might include running his own UCO, and he's taken the laptop to get backed up. (I can but hope.)

I don't think H is an initial as the OCG use it too.

I also think that it is odd how out of it all Ted seems to be. It's not his style to make assumptions like he did with Hilton. So my bet is that he is still concerned about AC12 being infiltrated and is trying to give the impression they're not looking for H. Either in the hope that they'll reveal themselves somehow, or that he has his own UCO in place. The laptop I'm guessing is for safe storage or having a backup.
