So, why did Hastings get his laptop destroyed? Something to do with the property compo? Worried that all senior coppers' dealings will be scrutinised? Can't be because of communication with the OCG as that's way too obvious.

The used condoms were a way of preserving DNA so they could use it for blackmail purposes. So that tells us that Hargreaves was being blackmailed by the OCG. So he couldn't be H.

Also, I don't understand what Gill/Jill's job in the police is? I thought it was PR? How come she has influence over early retirement?!

Glad others seen the spelling error! I'm also confused by Lise who seemed to be really scared in the first episode and is now almost pulling rank over John now.

I couldnt figure out who was under the balaclava at first either, I'd totally forgotten about Hargreaves and when Kate said his name I still forgot who he was.

Also agree with the double bluff with Hastings, will it be him because its SO obvious that its him that we're now convinced it's not?

Martin C has said there's a season 6 and hinted he might not be in it, I can't imagine another season with Steve or Hastings so who knows!

Gill is a police solicitor, although she now seems to be attached to the Police and Crime Commissioner. He HAS to have a bigger part, as he's a biggish actor. No idea why she gets to comment re retirement though. She's surely dodge - she's previously redacted files, told Dot to go for promotion, tried to discourage Hastings from looking into the children's home abuses,and been whispering to Hilton. And now she's looking pleased to be taken back to Hastings Travelodge? ??? Nope.

Corbett will surely die/ kill himself, and there will be a question as to whether he did indeed die in the line of duty.

That's not how it works. They use it to coerce people into doing what they want/passing information. If they don't cooperate then their dna will be left on some random murdered person. This theme has been running since series one!

Remember in Vihaan's interview he kept saying her instead of she? Eg. "Her told me to do it" - I thought it was just a language quirk, but maybe he knew more than we realised and was actually telling us H's "name"?
