Annoying bbc and itv have dramas at same time in same night but might watch this +1

A woman widowed 3yrs ago when husband supposedly died in a plane crash , and then she suspects he’s potentially alive ......

6 part drama

She’s just so shiny.

PrincessScarlett · 16/04/2019 23:06

I'm quite enjoying this but it's one of those dramas where just about anything can happen. Not sure why they shoehorned the cot death in. I found it unnecessarily upsetting.

Cannot fathom why on earth Will has been taken. There are just no clues whatsoever. I have a feeling when the big reveal happens it's going to come out of nowhere and leave us all flummoxed.

I did think Georgia was going to get locked in that room at one point. I hope she (and us!) get some answers from Bello.

Whywonttheyletmeusemyusername · 17/04/2019 00:15

Ah yeah....diddl that makes sense. I can't believe I couldn't work that out. Theres too much going on for me to keep up with !!! It better have a bloody good ending !!!

Honeyroar · 17/04/2019 07:18

I think the cot death will be the reason why he took a job working away perhaps? I also think he might have had an affair with the nasty bloke’s wife.

NicoAndTheNiners · 17/04/2019 07:32

I'm assuming he was kidnapped because he has some sort of skill which the miner/smugglers need in conjunction with all that digging they're doing?

I haven't actually worked out what they're digging up/smuggling over the border via that French woman.

But they must have needed him for that operation.

juneau · 17/04/2019 07:53

I find it extraordinary that a woman who presumably knows something about the DRC would go off, unarmed, into the jungle. Rape is routinely used as a weapon of war there, plus the men who tried to steal their vehicle wanted to abduct her. Her weird, puffy face is very distracting too. I want to know why Pieter Bello abducted Will though. If he's such a ruthless warlord why didn't he just kill him when he discovered he'd survived the plane crash?

teta · 17/04/2019 07:58

I’m enjoying the story even though it’s pretty convoluted. But I’m finding her ‘acting’ face which consists of a open lipped pout very annoying. Her face is so bottoxed she can’t even frown.

diddl · 17/04/2019 08:40

" yet she swans off into the jungle alone to find gangster man!"

Complete with perfect pony tail.

Was that a "demand" of hers do we think-ponytail perfect for every scene?Grin

Honeyroar · 17/04/2019 12:51

Yes! Agree about the pony tail! There must have been someone following her round with curling tongues!

Luckyme2 · 17/04/2019 13:48

Interesting premise but I really wish Kate Beckinsale hadn't done that to her face. Her forehead is so puffy and shiny. She looks like she has a permanent frown and it's really distracting when she's acting. I'm out I think.

Blondeshavemorefun · 17/04/2019 14:49

Sorry allbehind due to work

Just watched mon/3

So the laptop went off and crashed plans and all died apart from Dominica and blind guy

He was found and operated on and told Dominica died of injures but when he lastvsaw her she was ok

Hence why he lied and said wasn’t on plane /survived as knew he would be killed

He lost his sights due to taking too long to go to other hospital

Will was having an Affair with a rich mans wife

Is this why the plane was blown up

Why did the girl shot the man :(

And Kate shot someone innself defence

And blind guy goes to talk to Charles dance

Is that all of Monday’s ?

Have I missed anything out

Will go and start Tuesdays before rugrat wakes

Oh they had a baby :(

How very sad

Why didn’t they use an angel monitor :(

They're mining cobalt Nico - I think it's used in mobile phones.

I wonder what skill Will can have had - wasn't he working for the aid agency? Perhaps he was an engineer (as well as being an artist on the side!)

Martin turning up was interesting - I haven't worked out why his outfit (MI5 or something) was so interested in the plane crash that they went through identifying survivors.

Invisibleiink · 17/04/2019 15:18

Oh, my other thought - did Will even get on the plane in the end? I can't remember if we've seen him on it in the flashbacks - or was he kidnapped first?

Invisibleiink · 17/04/2019 16:40

ah - mining coltan, not cobalt.

NicoAndTheNiners · 17/04/2019 16:58

Never heard of it. Grin. Which probably explains why I wasn't sure what they were saying.

Blondeshavemorefun · 17/04/2019 17:06

So she Tried to commit suicide after her baby died :(

I’m not sure if Will was on the plane and survived and then kidnapped

Or that they blew the plane up pretending he was on it so everyone e would assume he was dead

Louise confessed to Georgia remarkably quickly - I would have thought she'd try to bluff for longer!

Also, it was a bit odd that Georgia threatened she'd tell the people Louise worked with if Louise didn't help her - but then told the male doc (sorry can't remember name) anyway.

I wonder if Will wasn't having an affair with the general's wife, but was meeting her for some other reason - information gathering maybe?

I genuinely heard mining cotton Grin

chickenalapesh · 17/04/2019 22:20

I don't think will was having an affair.

Bellows wife wasn't exactly attractive so can't see that happening but I do reckon he was in contact with her.

2rebecca · 17/04/2019 23:08

Just listening now. I was confused as to what cotton has to do with mines. Never heard of coltan.

2rebecca · 17/04/2019 23:09

It's not doing much for the African tourist industry. It looks like a hell hole.

Blondeshavemorefun · 18/04/2019 10:34

Did we see the wife he was meant to be having an affair with?

OP posts:
Invisibleiink · 18/04/2019 10:36

No, I don't think we did (not knowingly at least). I am sticking to my theory that there was no affair! Can anyone remember why Judith thought there was - was it something that could have been misinterpreted like secret meetings and phone calls?
