Annoying bbc and itv have dramas at same time in same night but might watch this +1

A woman widowed 3yrs ago when husband supposedly died in a plane crash , and then she suspects he’s potentially alive ......

6 part drama

I just reminded myself to remind you Blonde 😂😂

NicoAndTheNiners · 15/04/2019 21:36

Why didn't Dominique and the blind/not blind bloke stay with the plane....they'd have found it via the black box surely?

Welcometotherock · 15/04/2019 22:00

I've just watched this after forgetting the last couple of weeks and literally have no idea what's going on.

Is it worth a watch if I go back on catch up?

chickenalapesh · 15/04/2019 22:02

I think so but I'm literally the only person I know enjoying it 😂

Shenanagins · 15/04/2019 22:03

Definitely worth it although not a cheery little programme and I’m hooked.

Honeyroar · 15/04/2019 22:04

We thought that Nico. They wouldn't have even known which way they were walking. I don't think they'd have found it via the black box though. The plane would have emergency locator transmitters, but they are usually started manually by the crew.

NicoAndTheNiners · 15/04/2019 22:06

I remember when the Air France plane disappeared they said there was an emergency locator beacon thing but it would only transmit for so long.....and I think they have to be within a certain range to pick it up.

Even on Lost they stayed with the plane for a long time before giving up.

ThroughThickAndThin01 · 15/04/2019 22:07

Not sure I’ll keep going with this. I like the premise, I like the flashbacks and the way it’s filmed, but its lacking something for me. I spent a lot of the evening watching behind my hands especially in the jungle bits. I don’t like Georgia much so finding it hard to be rooting for her. Finding it mostly uncomfortable viewing. Dh not convinced either. Hmm, not sure 😀

Shenanagins · 15/04/2019 22:11

Likewise throughthethickofit not really rooting for Georgia but the little girl and the Icelandic man.

TheFirstOHN · 15/04/2019 22:17

Ólafur Darri Ólafsson is the best actor in this
Shalom Nyandiko is good too.

Honeyroar · 15/04/2019 22:20

There are emergency locator transmitters onboard and they last 48 hours, but they have to be manually activated by the crew, who obviously need to survive to do that (I'm crew). Otherwise the black box doesn't transmit, it just records, I think. So without the ELTs activated you're relying on records from air traffic control.

diddl · 16/04/2019 08:31

Perhaps because of where they crashed they thought that the best thing was to get out of there?

Elderflower14 · 16/04/2019 19:49

Mum and I have given up on this... Too far fetched and complicated!

Whywonttheyletmeusemyusername · 16/04/2019 20:14

In the first couple of episodes, when the blind woman was listening to a report about the plane crash, the recording distinctly said, there was only one survivor, the woman Dominique. And yet yesterday, the blind guy was told by the doctor, that she'd died ??? Help !!

diddl · 16/04/2019 20:25

Didn't the Dr say that she died of her injuries?

So initially survived & then died.

minxthemanx · 16/04/2019 21:24

I'm trying to catch up with The Widow. Some v good characters as you've said, but in finding KB lips as distracting as Anna Friel's in Marcella. Wish they wouldn't do that to themselves!

Frillyfarmer · 16/04/2019 21:27

God it's getting a bit too miserable, and I'm sure as hell sleeping with my babe tonight having watched the terrifying baby monitor scene. 💔

Ellieboolou27 · 16/04/2019 21:32

I’m finding it’s all geting a bit ridiculous, Kate thinks she’s some kind of warrior. Can’t take her seriously at all, baby scene was distressing

Honeyroar · 16/04/2019 21:37

Yes the baby scene was horrible. A lot of it is very gritty.

So she gets attacked twice in as many hours, yet she swans off into the jungle alone to find gangster man!

NicoAndTheNiners · 16/04/2019 21:37

Ffs, I dozed off. What was he telling her in that flashback? About living their lives?

Honeyroar · 16/04/2019 21:59

He was referring to getting over losing the baby, I think.

It's so far fetched, it's a bit tedious. I can't believe there are two more to sit through! Seems like I've watched too many to give up now!

UpsyDaaaisy · 16/04/2019 22:00

What happened with the baby?? I fell asleel Sad

Shenanagins · 16/04/2019 22:05

Gosh this is totally miserable and very far fetched.

That said, want to know why her husband was taken.

Shenanagins · 16/04/2019 22:10

The baby died due to cot death.

Lowena · 16/04/2019 22:10

Cot death upsydaaisy

Found this one very upsetting, but other than that, we are really enjoying it here. Seem to be in the minority!
