Anybody else planning to watch tonight? Part 1 of 2, 9pm, Channel 4.

I'm very intrigued to watch. I remember the Martin Bashir documentary being aired years ago, and the various backlashes/criticisms that happened afterwards.

Astonishing grooming

Redshoeblueshoe · 06/03/2019 21:44

People around MJ must have known.
God I want to be sick

Budsbegginingspringinsight · 06/03/2019 21:46

Absolutely destiny.

Destinysdaughter · 06/03/2019 21:47

Oh wow it’s suddenly got much darker now... 😱🙁

TellySavalashairbrush · 06/03/2019 21:47

This programme is very disturbing and unfortunately very believable from the victims part imo.

Redshoeblueshoe · 06/03/2019 21:48

It's like the mum didn't know what has happened

Destinysdaughter · 06/03/2019 21:48

That mum laughing? Fucking delusional. And really neglectful. Blinded by celebrity.

NCforthis2 · 06/03/2019 21:49

I believe them

whenthewhistleblows · 06/03/2019 21:49

Find it very odd that jimmys mother is still gushing and laughing about stuff when interviewed now, knowing now that her son had been sexually abused at the time.

DaisyDreaming · 06/03/2019 21:49

Watching it now. Reading in advance and watching Wade interviews I was very skeptical (honestly I never normally doubt child abuse victims, never). The other guy Doesn’t give me the same feeling

Redshoeblueshoe · 06/03/2019 21:49

I absolutely believe them

TwistinMyMelon · 06/03/2019 21:49

I absolutely believe them. It is totally believable and understandable that they didn 't speak up. It was misplaced loyalty

SoleBizzz · 06/03/2019 21:50

Shock Grotesque.

DaisyDreaming · 06/03/2019 21:52

Has anyone seen evidence of the claims that Wade had a piece of paper on in his pocket which he got out and read saying ‘this will make me relevant again’?

FiveMoreMinutesPlease · 06/03/2019 21:53

Horrible! How on earth could she relinquish such control to MJ. He must have been very clever to groom her to that extent. Awful man.

HowlsMovingBungalow · 06/03/2019 21:53

I believe him.

All of it makes me sick, typical paedophile behaviour and script.

DaisyDreaming · 06/03/2019 21:54

I understand parents can be groomed too but how is Jimmys mum coming across so happy about her son being chosen and recognised as special by Michael?

AnchorDownDeepBreath · 06/03/2019 21:54

Sadly, by pp who believe MJ is innocent, they are finding all sorts of motivations as to why they would come forwards niw

If that was aimed at me, I didn't say that I believe MJ was innocent. I don't, at all.

The mum seems so detached from this. She's laughing while filming a documentary about her child's sexual abuse. They do seem woefully naive. The abducted in plain sight comparison was spot on.

EmmaGrundyForPM · 06/03/2019 21:54

Jimmy's mum.is weird. She doesn't seem.to realise or recognise what happened.

I believe him

Destinysdaughter · 06/03/2019 21:55

MJ isolating him from his own parents is classic abuser tactics.

Budsbegginingspringinsight · 06/03/2019 21:55

Incredible and such an important message to get into the world.

FiddleFaddleDingDong · 06/03/2019 21:55

The MJ defenders are out in force on Twitter. His fans are like members of a cult.

JaneEyre07 · 06/03/2019 21:57

It's the parents I'm struggling to understand.

It's not comfortable viewing.........

JustDanceAddict · 06/03/2019 21:57
