Caught up. She died :(

So ru t is now going to be a full time mummy

JudyCoolibar · 29/02/2020 23:23

What is this nonsense with Connie bitching every time another senior female doctor turns up? Can't they depict her as acting with normal professional respect?

Trews2019 · 01/03/2020 07:15

Is there some back story from last time Zsa-Zsa was over?

NewModelArmyMayhem18 · 01/03/2020 09:25

I thought Zsa-Zsa was somehow involved in saving Connie at one point? But clearly muddled up memories as the latter had a heart cancer, didn't she? And ZZ is clearly a neurologist.

Agree that Connie's ongoing bitchy behaviour would be a disciplinary offence,, surely?

You can see that the worst-case scenario is going to drive Lev and Faith apart. I wonder how many more episodes before there's a kiss twixt Faith and Dylan?

SoupDragon · 01/03/2020 10:49

I also thought ZsaZsa operated on Connie so you're not alone there! I'm not sure why she hates her though.

SoupDragon · 01/03/2020 10:52

I've googled and she absolutely didn't operate on Connie. Just Glen and a bar-side brain surgery on Dylan's dad 😂

NewModelArmyMayhem18 · 01/03/2020 10:56

Glad it's not just me @SoupDragon? I can almost remember them having an entente cordiale too?

Didn't Ethan have a bit of a fleeting romance with Connie at the time too?

Charlie clearly wasn't back to his normal self - I'm sure that his behaviour with colleagues would have red-flagged him to being put back on compassionate leave.

SoupDragon · 01/03/2020 11:00

It was an old Uni rival of Connie's who operated on her and yes, they didn't like each other at all! Ethan took Connie to London for surgery and Connie tried to kiss him.

I've been on Casualty Wiki 😂😂

Trews2019 · 01/03/2020 11:11

Wasn’t there something with Connie when she came over at David’s request to help Dylan? There must be history as ZZ made the comment to Connie about the coffee being bitter just like her.

NewModelArmyMayhem18 · 01/03/2020 12:06

@SoupDragon that makes sense.

I always think I have a good memory for detail until challenged by these threads.

I like Zsa Zsa's character - what a coup getting Sharon Gless as a guest star (avid Cagney and Lacey fan back in my childhood!). Perhaps they could bring David Soul or PM Glaser into the cast too?

I thought Connie was supposed to have promised Duffy that she'd look after Charlie? I haven't seen much sign of it as yet.

I too can't understand why Charlie is supposed to be so beloved of the other characters - he does come across as a bit of a bully. Mind you, if I was being followed around my workplace by Robyn, doing her boggly-eyed sadface and going "Are you sure you're okaaay?" every five minutes, I think I might be rather tetchy too.

Extracurricularfatigue · 01/03/2020 19:06

Robin who yet again kicked her supposed friends when down as she went about kicking Ruby and her sister out. I get that the drugs thing is an issue around her daughter but she was as unempathetic and supportive then as she was with Charlie in denial. She bears responsibility for leaving her daughter with someone with dementia/inviting someone she knows is in recovery to live with her.

I am finding her unwatchable.

Optimist1 · 01/03/2020 19:32

Much as I dislike Robin, the idea of having Ruby and the baby house share with her and Charlotte was a good one, but then taking in Violet was sort of forced on her. I have to disagree with you @Extracurricularfatigue about kicking her friends when they're down on this occasion - a drug user can bring all sorts of antisocial stuff (dangerous substances, needles, other random users, etc) into the home, and that's not a risk she should take with Charlotte especially bearing in mind the risk she exposed her to with Duffy .

Auldspinster · 01/03/2020 19:57

David Soul was in Holby City a few years ago if I remember correctly.

Extracurricularfatigue · 01/03/2020 20:13

I totally agree that having a potential drug user in a house with kids is a bad idea but the time to get tough was probably at the start. And there are ways of saying it won’t work that are nicer than she managed. Having said that, it’s more a hangover from how totally unnecessarily shitty she was to Charlie (and god knows, he annoys me enough) that I found her so mean.

QueenofmyPrinces · 01/03/2020 22:09

Just caught up....

I love how during his lunch break Marty had the time to walk to some guys house with the anticipation of doing who knows what, when most nurses in real life are lucky to get a 20 minute break. Another example of the show being very far away from reality....

I felt so sorry for Lev and Faith - that storyline is so sad.

Was nice to see lots of Dylan tonight!!

I can’t believe how Charlie shouted at Jacob - I understand the was just reflecting his anger from what the butcher had said to him, but even so.

purpleme12 · 01/03/2020 23:26

Yes so sad
