Something more has got to come out out about him he's very odd indeed. The lies about rash and ethan but overly chummy with Jacob (who is annoying me on this) and he clearly hustled rash about the bike.

Charlie and Duffy are boring me to death now.

Maybe he's not even a doctor. The holby recruitment process is quite lacks after all!!

He was hanging around in a covered walkway waiting for Rash and Jacob to appear, and then ran out and started going on about his times. It didn't look as if he'd been running at all!

Funnily enough @RedForShort I was just thinking the same thing. Maybe he will turn out to be a total imposter, but with a lay person's objectivity and common sense (as with the girl with the acute hangover in Saturday's episode).

Oh yes, that's a thought. We haven't seen him having to do any actual medical procedures yet, have we? Mind you, if he was an impostor surely he wouldn't be drawing so much attention to himself and getting another doctor's back up like that.

My first thought, I have to say, was that they were going to reveal he had some kind of personality disorder and this is Casualty's typically unsubtle way of "doing" that issue. Don't think they've had a PD storyline yet.

That new doctor is so pointless. I hope he falls off Rash’s bike and disappears down a drain or something.

And as for that woman who got a text message to say her son was out of theatre? What the hell?! What ridiculous crap is that?!

At least Duffy wasn’t in last nights episode so that was good.

That was so wierd (and I'm not one to be bothered by these situations that are unlike real life)

The pharmacy at our local hospital offers to text you when your prescription's ready for collection (usual wait is an hour or so), so you can go and have a cuppa in the cafe and not clog up their miniscule waiting room . I thought the text to say the child was out of surgery was just a version of that!

Oh I hope they don't drag out the Effie story, she's unbearably annoying.

I also have zero interest in the stupid feud between Rash and the new guy.

Even Dylan loses some of his appeal when he has to be the boss and all sensible.

Apart from the paramedics it’s pretty dull at the moment.

I've never been a great fan of Ethan's, but he's become a liability now. He's offloaded his training responsibility for new guy onto Rash, gives no support to either and lays the blame firmly at Rash's door for the X-ray debacle. Meanwhile, he's misleading the doctor who's conducting the CF trial (and thus depriving a genuinely eligible patient of a place) and encouraging Effie to keep her symptoms quiet - clearly this isn't going to end well.

I really don't like Effie either, don't know what it is about her. I'm also really hoping this is the beginning of the end for Ethan.

What was the relevance of the date on the X-Ray? The new guy swiped from one to another, zoomed in on it and it was dated 17/11/2018 (I remembered it because it's my dad's birthday). The patient said her shoulder had popped out before. Had he shown Rash an old X-ray by mistake and then realised?

spiderlight yes, that is exactly what I think we were given to understand happened. Crap new doctor showed Rash an old x-ray of a previous dislocation instead of the most recent one showing a fracture. He realised his mistake, but instead of owning up to it, he blamed Rash for supposedly missing the fracture because he was so distracted.

Ethan really is a sallow-faced little weasel, isn't he. What the hell is he hoping to get out of all this?

I've always liked Ethan but I'm going off him rapidly - although he did just win Celebrity Mastermind . On the up side at least Charlie and Duffy were absent from the episode . That new doctor needs Dylan to sort him out but sadly Dylan appears to have had a personality change and seems to have become as boring as Charlie - please can we have our proper grumpy Dylan back please . Failing that perhaps a nasty cycling accident for the new doc is required
