Apparently the actress is suffering extreme back pain, which is why she looks so ill :(

QueenofmyPrinces · 29/05/2019 12:47

Perhaps the writers should give her some time off to recover. Maybe Grace gets very sick in America and Connie has to rush off to be by her side...

Mind you, how far in advance is Casualty recorded? As these episodes may have been recorded months ago and she may be better by now?

Blondeshavemorefun · 30/05/2019 08:40

Think I fell asleep

Can someone give me a recap

QueenofmyPrinces · 30/05/2019 09:20

Ellie had previously been offered a fantastic new job and was due to leave the ED but then she found out that Connie may have been pushing her out by having had a quiet word in the new employers ear and suggesting they recruit Elle. As a result Elle had some kind of epiphany and said although she was still leaving the ED she wasn’t going to the new job eithe. She had an emotional moment with Connie about how she thought Connie needed professional help for anxiety and it was quite sweet.

At one point Connie was in Resus to prove that she could cope but she made decisions for a patient that the assisting doctor (the new woman with the man’s name that I can’t remember) didn’t agree with and there was a bit of a show down.

Ruby still has the 16 year old girl stalking her, it’s very odd. She also gave Iain a list of Samaritan type phone numbers should he ever feel the need to talk and he stropped off.

Something strange happened with Jacob’s mum reappearing in the show but it was so weird and boring that I can’t recap it because it didn’t make sense anyway.

Erm...:: I think that’s about it.

Throw in a storyline about a man who kept his daughters locked in the house because he wanted to protect them and that’s about it.

QueenofmyPrinces · 30/05/2019 09:21

Jan was also in a really bad mood about something but they never said what...

QueenofmyPrinces · 30/05/2019 09:23

And HH came down to the ED to tell Connie that the department wasn’t performing well enough which ruled Connie up. Ultimately HH said he was recruiting a Problem Solver to come in and see how improvements could be made - there have been rumours that this may actually be the job that Elle is now going to do seeing as she said she wasn’t going to take up the new job she’d previously been offered.

catlady39 · 30/05/2019 10:48

I've seen a clip today about the problem solver man coming - it's not Elle.

QueenofmyPrinces · 30/05/2019 11:29

Is he attractive? Grin

(hope so) Grin

Blondeshavemorefun · 30/05/2019 14:43

Ah thanks. So Ellie’s new job would have never no notice 😂😂

But if it was a good better job she should have taken it

Who's the David Brent nobber with the tweed suit and beard?.

I never know what I've missed.

Bobbindobbin · 01/06/2019 21:42

The actor that plays Connie looks so unwell. Hope she’s ok

purpleme12 · 01/06/2019 23:17

He's the troubleshooter for the ED

zukiecat · 02/06/2019 18:03

That episode was so boring,

I want to see what's going to happen with Dani and Ruby,

Please don't kill Ruby off, I like her,

I'd love a series just about Ruby and Di, not too much Ian though

bakedbeanzontoast · 02/06/2019 23:14

I'm glad Elle is gone. I found her as annoying as some you find Jacob.

Isatis · 03/06/2019 00:21

Jacob buggering off in the middle of a shift - disciplinary issue.

Nah, standard practice in Holby City. It's probably written into their job descriptions, along with the requirement that at some point they end up in a cubicle as patients.

RedForShort · 03/06/2019 11:09

Think Troubleshooter might be wooden than Jacob.

New Male Doctor is also competing for the top Wooden Actor.

Troubleshooter is tedious. Jacob is no better.

I did enjoy the Iain-Jan dynamic in the last episode, and the brief inclusion of Ethan (though I didn't appreciate the Will-Archie nonsense).

purpleme12 · 04/06/2019 20:47

I don't know why Jacob is do hated on here. I don't mind him. I mean I don't love him or anything but I've got nothing against him

DiseasesOfTheSheep · 04/06/2019 21:04

Mostly I just find him boring, and time spent with Jacob is not time spent with Dylan / David / Ethan / Iain / Jan / Ruby / Gem / anyone else who is remotely interesting or, at least, not overly annoying.

Isatis · 04/06/2019 22:52

I bet Troubleshooter is going to start being beastly about employing nurses with dementia, thus imposing major strains on Charlie's acting skills.

purpleme12 · 04/06/2019 22:58

😂

HettySunshine · 05/06/2019 05:39

How long before Connie & Troubleshooter are shouting at each other and then end up kissing?

RedForShort · 05/06/2019 13:58

Connie needs to be careful then, Troubleshooter may shot her with lasers from his robot eyes.
