Marty is so stereotype yawn. Jade is fucking annoying but there's a bit more to her at least

purpleme12 · 16/05/2019 22:45

I'm sure they'll deepen Marty's character soon too. That's how it normally goes

It may be against the law to ease a terminally ill patient out by upping their pain medication, but I don't think it's at all unusual. The line between giving enough medication to avoid pain and enough to terminate life is a very fine, and sometimes non-existent, one. A friend of mine whose husband died at home was very firmly told by the doctor what level of morphine her husband would need to be fatal, with the firm implication that, if he was in too much pain or distress, the doctor was going to look the other way. Indeed, George V's doctor was reported to have hastened his death so that it could be reported in The Times.

SoupDragon · 20/05/2019 07:32

I agree. A family friend was a doctor and he always ensured a terminally ill patient had a sufficient prescription to end their life if that is what they chose to do. Obviously he did not actually make that decision for them or administer the medication.

Just realised wasn’t on last sat. Bloody Euro

Abillity2019 · 24/05/2019 06:35

Sorry everyone but I’ve just seen an advert for tomorrow’s episode on Facebook and it’s got Jacob in it.

Don’t shoot the messenger.

Auldspinster · 25/05/2019 12:59

There better be a decent amount of Dylan soon.

Dylan is on Pointless now!

bizzey · 25/05/2019 20:21

Dylan is on celebrity Pointless ..on now ..and Zoe !

Optimist1 · 25/05/2019 20:28

Just came on to say about Pointless - what a nice surprise!

purpleme12 · 25/05/2019 20:40

Ah what I would have watched it if I'd known!

Optimist1 · 25/05/2019 22:28

Had to chuckle at the Radio Times' description of Dani as "Single White Paramedic" Grin

spiderlight · 27/05/2019 12:33

I want to move to Holby. The house prices must be as cheap as chips if a single man with obvious problems and a part-time job at a garden centre can afford a house that size!!

So what is Elle doing then, if she's not taking the Manchester (?) job but she's not staying either? Confused

AGnu · 27/05/2019 18:48

Is she not coming back as the person they're hiring to sort out the ED? I assumed that was what was going to happen!

PaddingtonBearHardStare · 27/05/2019 21:30

That's what I thought as well @AGnu

Optimist1 · 27/05/2019 22:14

Ooh, good theory! Connie will be incandescent.

bizzey · 27/05/2019 22:17

Oh my ..now that could be good tv !

purpleme12 · 28/05/2019 07:59

Mmm I didn't know what she was going to do but actually that's a possibility. I guess she could be

spiderlight · 28/05/2019 09:08

Ah, OK - that might make sense! Connie will not like that.

PaddingtonBearHardStare · 28/05/2019 10:22

It was the fact Hanssen came to see her that made me wonder and then he was obviously annoyed with Connie at the end

GraceMarks · 28/05/2019 10:49

I must say, I'm getting really tired of the ongoing conversation between Iain and Ruby that happens at least twice per episode:

Ruby: Iain, are you ok?
Iain: Yeah, I'm fine.
Ruby: Are you sure?
Iain: Look, just get off me back, will ya? (Slam ambulance door, stomp off to locker room)

Can we just move past that storyline now, especially as we also have to watch Connie having PTSD and there's only so much trauma recovery I can take?

QueenofmyPrinces · 29/05/2019 12:28

I hope Elle stays, I quite like her.

I loved the way Jacob ran out of the busy department in the middle of shift to go and see his mom.... how realistic that was.....

I felt so sorry for that dad at the end when he was on the stairs crying to Elle about how much he wanted to keep his daughters safe Sad

I know I say it every week but Connie is looking so thin and unwell. Is the actress unwell in real life?
