The thread is full.

The virus is spreading will Holby be ok?!

any other couple reuniting after a marriage split would at least have a snog

I'm not convinced that a couple reuniting after in party had shagged someone else would reunite with a snog. I think there would be a hell of a lot of awkwardness at the start. Especially in a couple with little apparent passion in the first place, they were always more about a deep seated love rather than excitement.

Isitmybathtimeyet · 10/05/2019 18:58

In real life. But this is Casualty!

RedForShort · 12/05/2019 07:55

That episode did nothing to make me like Will nor make Holby's recruitment more realistic!!

Still like Archie despite that not being the popular opinion. I'm wondering if she'll get Elle's job.

Can't figure out why Ruby allowed Stalker in. I know she felt sorry for her again but Ruby was uncomfortable about her.

SoupDragon · 12/05/2019 09:18

Ruby is socially inept I think. She doesn't read the signs properly at all and I don't think she ever has really.

I really disliked the way Archie was badgering Will into "killing" Toby. Yes, she's right that it is the kind thing to do but it is simply unacceptable. I think it's going to come back to bite Will on the arse, possibly at her instigation.

Goonergirl14 · 12/05/2019 09:41

Bring back Zoe, Max, Alesha this latest bunch Will, Archie, Jade are terrible that's just my opinion. Like Ruby she is the only one I would keep. Really used to enjoy Casualty but not now ☹

megletthesecond · 12/05/2019 09:42

I was convinced the stalker Dani was going to have a weapon in her bag. At least she only stole something.

I can't remember where the Dani storyline came from. I thought she was Iains sister. Now I think I'm muddling her up with another cast member.

RedForShort · 12/05/2019 09:47

Gemma is Iain's sister.

Dani was helped by Ruby after her mum died - drove her home and gave her number to Dani to call when she needed.

Thanks red. Two different people then Blush.

This is why I don't watch usually drama, I cant follow storylines. I'm usually really good with faces in real life.

SoupDragon · 12/05/2019 10:07

I thinkDani's mum had motor neurone disease, had a fall at home which was attended by Ian and Ruby and then died in hospital.

HettySunshine · 12/05/2019 11:07

End of life care for a 15 leukaemia patient in the A&E. Yeah, okay.

DiseasesOfTheSheep · 12/05/2019 11:12

Not quite - it was the episode after Iain's little brush with death, so it was Ruby and Jan who attended her mother. Ruby was over-involved because of her concern re Iain, and Jan advised against getting over-involved.

I also wondered if Dani was going to go batshit-murderer on Ruby, and Iain might be lurking somewhere to save her life, because in Casualty-land, when someone saves your life, you often get a prompt opportunity to pay them back!

Not a fan of Archie - pushing Will into over-dosing the boy was ethically unacceptable as far as I'm concerned. Although it's possible he didn't actually over-dose him - he adjusted the pain relief and certainly implied he had done as the boy wished, but Casualty have implied and lied before!

zukiecat · 12/05/2019 17:14

meg

I though Dani had a weapon in her bag too and was going to harm Ruby, or keep her hostage or something.

She only stole the stethoscope, but I think that's the way this story is going, Dani will try and harm Ruby, paramedics are prone to horrible things happening to them in Holby!

As are the medical staff, I must say

DiseasesOfTheSheep · 12/05/2019 21:05

Holby - it's a dangerous place for medics. No wonder they have unusual hiring processes - they must have terrible trouble convincing people to move there. A bit like Midsomer - why the hell does anyone still live there?!

Blondeshavemorefun · 13/05/2019 21:08

Behind always. Haven’t read about sat night one. But saw previous

Don’t blame the dad for not wanting Duffy treat

Should she be treating with dementia

And language is a weird thing. She is living with it. Not sure she is coping with it

It’s like people saying committed suicide. I don’t have a problem with it. But many do

purpleme12 · 14/05/2019 14:39

Well I'm not sure I like the whole Archie wanting Will to end Toby's life. To be honest I couldn't get my head around it. Why would she even do that?! I mean you're not allowed and it just seemed like she thought it was all normal, not like she was trying to convince him to do something he shouldn't. She's a doctor herself. Didn't like that.

I gather that he did make him die in the end? Although I guess poster above cos be right that he was just adjusting the pain relief. I thought Archie thought he did make him die in the end and then I thought that's really dangerous anyway if she thinks that cos she'll get him into trouble. But I was also convinced he wasn't going to do it. So now I'm not sure what to think

Optimist1 · 14/05/2019 18:34

Trouble is that with these new characters we don't know them well enough to have a good grasp on what they'd do in such situations. They have portrayed Will as being quite firm in his beliefs about ending a patient's life, though, so I think he really was just adjusting the flow of morphine with a view to keeping Toby out of pain rather than administering an overdose. As you say, purple , Archie should have a firm grasp on medical ethics at this stage in her career.

Every episode would be improved with an acerbic comment from Dylan!

Blondeshavemorefun · 15/05/2019 21:41

Think I dozed off

So Archie /mum wanted will to od her dying son ?

Duffy and Charlie vows were pass me a bucket

What happened to Charlie and baz son. Didn’t he turn into a terroway? Did he die ?

bakedbeanzontoast · 15/05/2019 23:28

I think Archie is going to try and fuck will over with that

QueenofmyPrinces · 15/05/2019 23:56

I found the episode really sad when the mom was saying how she didn’t want to watch her son die and see him suffer - it bought a tear to my eye.

Also agree that it was totally ridiculous that in a busy A&E department Noel found the time to do a slide show and make masks.

purpleme12 · 16/05/2019 07:17

bakedbeanzontoast exactly. It just leaves it wide open

TheOnlyLivingBoyInNewCross · 16/05/2019 07:33

I really couldn't understand why Archie was urging Will on, as if he was the one in the wrong by hesitating and feeling morally conflicted Confused

Her attitude was so self-righteous that I almost felt that everything I understand about medical ethics must be wrong and that it's fine for doctors to end patients' lives.

I really dislike her as a character.

In other news, it wasn't until Marty made his appearance at the very end that I realised I completely forgot that he was in the show. That's not the mark of a great character...

purpleme12 · 16/05/2019 08:07

Yes exactly (what you said about Archie) made no sense

QueenofmyPrinces · 16/05/2019 19:29

Maybe it will come out that a close friend/relative of Archie’s was terminally ill and she somehow helped “ease their suffering” and needs Will doing it too to give her some validation that she did the right thing.
