I love the Oscars, always have. Haven't seen another thread yet. Posting this for red carpet/fashion/ceremony twaddle. Hopefully some of you will join me later

I think Glenn Close's Oscar is long-deserved. Wouldn't mind seeing Reg win for best supporting. Think Black Panther would be worthy enough for Best Film but not sure it will, it would have got a win in the best popular film until they binned the category. Interested whether the Guardian's doc will win and who wins best short. Is it Amy Adams's year finally? no And will Anita Dobson be watching Adam Lambert and Bryan May performing Bohemian Rhapsody on stage?

I enjoyed Shakespeare in love at the time but haven't seen it in years.

I know about Marvel because my kids like it. I actually quite enjoy some of them myself. Especially Thor.

I was a fan before he became a household name because of Alias and it was rumoured then that he was involved with co star Victor Garber this was like over a decade ago.

Like, sad times, Spacey, he seemed to bring his Mum to events a lot which doesn't necessarily mean he's anything more than a good son but it does smack of Gay Son

Deep and persistent rumours that after having "settled" with irina which was rumoured to be a bit of a rocky relationship, he and Gaga have found a soulmate in each other and is approved of by Mommy because they have the same ethnic background (Italian American)
