...tomorrow and I’m excited!! Anyone else?

Get on my screen Jimmy Perez!

It looks great from the trailer too...

Joining you mainly so I can burble on about Perez.
What would you do to him to cheer him up, ladies ?
Also fascinated to know if he ever changes his sweater ?

whatashower · 05/03/2019 22:25

Delurking to say still gripped with this - good episode tonight although I am still laughing a bit at the clumsy people obstacles impeding Perez' pursuit of the blonde tattooist - the climsy scuffle with what seemed to be the entire population of Shetland who all happened to be in the narrow close staring at the pavement at that exact time 🤣

whatashower · 05/03/2019 22:26

i do think they need an episode where Dougie is scrubbed up for a wedding in full Highland Kilt ❤️

Clawdy · 05/03/2019 22:33

I was so glad when Tosh turned up at the new guy's house and had a lovely evening! Thought they were going to do the old cliché of her finding him with another girl there.....

Travelledtheworld · 05/03/2019 22:38

Ooh yes would love Dougie in a kilt. I bet his legs are deliciously covered with ginger hair.....

CoolCarrie · 05/03/2019 22:46

I was shouting at the telly “ knock that drunken bastard out with the pot of pasta!” and do a runner ffs.

CoolCarrie · 05/03/2019 22:50

There are lots of photos of Mark Bonnar in a kilt yummy 😋 and you can find Douglas wearing kilt in Outlander, but he looks very scruffy.

hopeishere · 06/03/2019 07:20

The young policeman leaving her alone was such a cliche.

Do you think the other dad is involved? Money troubles? Or will Alices husband try to get him involved?

NewModelArmyMayhem18 · 06/03/2019 10:50

Duncan was a main suspect (at one point) in a previous series wasn't he?

I thought that the property bloke made up the bit about wanting to see Duncan to throw Jimmy off the scent that he was there to intimidate Cassie? Did wonder whether Alice's DH's helpfulness to Duncan has an ulterior motive.

kaytees · 06/03/2019 13:27

Oooh, that was a good ep! Though yes, why Zeze didn't throw the pasta over him and run was odd...

There was something really weird about Olivia's facial expression in the last scene. Almost like she was smirking... I'm now starting to wonder if she was involved somehow.

Ingurr · 06/03/2019 13:31

Why couldn't the sister of the police office looking after Cassie come up to Jimmy's house to get a key from her brother. ?

OllyBJolly · 06/03/2019 13:41

I don't know anyone in Shetland who locks their door! And in fact, visiting a friend in Bressay, she told me just to take a car from the Bressay side - any car, keys will be in ignition, we can return it later!

Ingurr · 06/03/2019 16:10

Good Point OllyBJolly. Also when Zeze escaped I'm sure that the first car that drove past would have stopped for her.

hopeishere · 06/03/2019 19:27

I'm also beginning to think the mum is some how part of it all.

tattychicken · 08/03/2019 23:24

Have had a longstanding Dougie H crush. Partic this scene from This Years Love

Whoops! Sorry. This one www.dailymotion.com/video/x8vfby

Kinraddie · 08/03/2019 23:55

Aww! So young!

Yes it's not the done thing in rural areas to drive by someone, I'm in a main land village with crap bus service, it's sort of expected someone will give you a lift from the bus stop, stranger or not. Ive never locked my door either. It's a wonder there are any Scots left and we've not all been murdered. Grin

DarlingNikita · 11/03/2019 16:17

Yes, the one with the young woman who went missing after a music festival. I think it turned out he'd had an affair with her mum and was her biological father, which was why he and her mum were acting oddly as they wanted it not to come out.

I'm also beginning to think the mum is some how part of it all. My DP thinks the same. He thinks it's odd that she happens to live in Scotland and her daughter happens to have been trafficked there. I can't work out HOW she's involved and why she's so fixated on Jamie.

DP also thinks the property guy isn't involved and is just a bit of a little big-shot type –unpleasant but not a trafficker –and that the scene
of him going to Jimmy's house when Cassie was alone was genuinely him looking for Duncan and not to threaten Cassie. Personally I thought the way he asked about where she lived in Glasgow was a bit menacing, but DP reckons it was left ambiguous enough that you could just read it like that if you wanted.

NewModelArmyMayhem18 · 12/03/2019 09:16

DarlingNikita, yes you're right. However, I think it turned out that Cassie has a half-brother who is still alive (I believe Jimmy referenced him when he first met up with C in episode 2 (was it?) of this series. Wasn't it the young man that Cassie was hanging around with for the whole of that series (much to J's annoyance!)?

DarlingNikita · 12/03/2019 12:21

NewModel, yes, I got it wrong –it's a young man, not woman, who Duncan turned out to be the father of through his affair. And yes, Duncan (Duncan not Jimmy, surely?) was trying not to let Cassie get too close to him, for obvious reasons.

NewModelArmyMayhem18 · 12/03/2019 13:24

And yes, Duncan (Duncan not Jimmy, surely?) was trying not to let Cassie get too close to him, for obvious reasons. Yes, you could be right that it was Duncan being twitchy but thought that he didn't know the youth to be his son, until the investigation brought it to light?

DarlingNikita · 12/03/2019 13:54

God, I don't remember. Oh to have the time to just watch them all again!

Lettherebelight · 12/03/2019 21:58

Feel like this evening's episode is full of red herrings. Alice looks increasingly dodgy though.

CoolCarrie · 12/03/2019 21:59

Omg !
