Actually they slept with each other! Fault on both sides, but I can totally get Jenny being totally pissed off with Liz ! More pissed off with Jonny, but I certainly wouldn't see the 'friend' who slept with my husband as blameless.

The actress who plays LIz often needs a MH break. Perhaps she needed to leave at short notice so they filmed her separately on the plabe scene but couldn't film her on set (hence the daft Gemma saga).

I agree Liz wouldn't leave Amy in the lurch. Also, Jenny got in a car to drive whilst very very drunk and did drive the car at Liz who would have died had Eileen not found her. So I think giving Jenny a pass is not on.

I agree with everyone, it's shite atm, new guy is even worse than Katie oates (never thought I'd say that). They need to follow through on stories before starting new ones. Rita is behaving strangely and out of character, especially if you are watching Classsic Corrie.

Yes it’s dire at the minute, the last two episodes were terrible. It’s like the writers have no idea about the characters? Liz wouldn’t have left Amy, Norris wouldn’t have just sold the cabin like that and so on.

And we haven’t heard any more about amy either. Massive storyline for a week then....

Liz has taken a role in The Rocky Horror Show, so presumably that's why she's been written out for a bit.

I've been watching Corrie for the guts of 30 years but at the moment I'm finding every character cringeworthy. It's only on as background noise at the moment. A real shame.

Okay. Now, somebody tell me why it is that Rita is so very pissed off about Brian and Cathy buying the shop? I get why she wanted to thump Brian after the wanky 'equals, but I'm the boss' speech, but the initial hissy fit seemed a bit OTT, given that she knew it was going to happen.

I was also wondering this. Last thing you see is Rita resigned to the fact that the Kabin is being sold and worried that she wouldn't have a job there anymore. Next, she hears that the Kabin is indeed now sold and throws a hissy fit, cursing the new owners before she even knows who they are!

Yes, you'd expect her to be glad the new owners are people she knows and likes.

Rita be dead on her feet by now standing up all day so I think she would want to enjoy her retirement more more and just work there part-time.

We were cracking up last night when Brian said they needed help, it's not as if they are rushed off their feet with customers. they are lucky to see one a day

Haven't watched for months and just watched catch up. The only interesting bit was the inscription on the ring. Are we supposed to think Shona is going to steal the jewellery for money for her son? Jenny sobered up pretty quickly after the rum! The employee wouldn't have remembered her name after one night a couple of months ago surely? So Rita knowing Brian's fragile self-esteem decides to put him in his place and demand to be 'manager'? Wth is a boat doing in the street! Is it right outside the Platt's front door?

I was laughing at the suggestion that they were rushed off their feet in the Kabin too, I mean we always see Rita in there having a good old chat with everyone so hardly busy!

The hotel employee would never let on that he had met Jenny before, particularly if she had been in such a state. 🙄

Clayton is a terrible actor, like a toddler, but muuuuuuuuuum I want I want I want, he's only short of saying he'll hold his breath till he gets what he wants.

How come Audrey hasn't coped on that both her grandsons have an awful lot of money all of a sudden.

I'm glad Johnny and Jenny are going to stay together, I like them.

What's happened to Norris? Why can't Rita keep working in the Kabin? She might be in her eighties but all she has to do is lean on the counter!

I’m glad that Johnny and Jenny sorted it out too, I love Jenny behind the Rovers and if she wasn’t with Johnny then she wouldn’t be the landlady as it was most likely Johnny’s cash that bought it.

It was @ILoveMaxiBondi wasn’t it? it was totally unexpected as well which makes it all the more exciting! I can’t wait to tune in this Monday, it’s about the most exciting thing that’s happening on the cobbles at the minute.

Roy’s mothers ring is about as exciting as sitting at home with no tv or any other sound on, at first I thought the writing on the inside of the ring was the usually stamp to say it was gold or silver, or whatever and now, in the words of Scary Mary ‘it’s a mystery, oooh I love a mystery’ except it’s a fucking mystery that I don’t cate about, and if it involves Roy then it’s not an exciting mystery at all.

I see that Shona went to Imran, the only lawyer to ever exist in Manchester. I feel David’s pain and hasn’t he been through enough, and now he’s got to support Shona support the boy that killed Kylie. . I totally understand why Shona would support Clayton, being his mother, but it’s out of order that she expects David to support her supporting him, next thing Clayton will be ‘forgiven’ soap style from David and then he’ll be living in the street, getting a job in the salon and speaking to Billy to reform his shady character, I can see it all now

@EachandEveryone I think Beverley Callard, who plays Liz, looks far better now than she did when she first came into Corrie, I sometimes watch ‘Classic Corrie’ in the morning, when I’m up for work, and Liz looks pretty crap, I think she’s had lip fillers now because they’re non-existent back then, most women look better in their 30s compared with their 50s, but Callard is the opposite. I do like Liz though.
