Just discovered a new technique to be used for dramas I’m really not sure it’s worth investing time/emotional energy in. Watch the first & last episode 😱 Then see if it’s worth chugging through the middle

Continuity chasm in SWP. Pretty sure FL’s bf gave ML the missing puzzle piece earlier on & yet here she is reminiscing over it in ep 10 or 11. Uncharacteristically sloppy writing, tsk!

Ah, right. I thought the giving away of such a treasured momento was going to be tge thing that killed the friendship for good, but the FL is a total saint (unbelievably so) - the utmost morality and saintly selflessness of the FL being a common kdrama trope.

Yes it was refreshing in Because TIMFL that the FL is a little bit psycho, as the ML says

Because TIMFL has stayed with me over the last couple of days. I really like it. The FL was principled and respectful of others, but no pushover. She was quietly assertive and had agency. The ML was odd and rigid in his approach, but also decent and principled - plus capable of change.

It's so rewarding when a drama stays with you.

Not to rub salt in the Viki wound, but the lead characters in The Beauty Inside are also a bit like that, with the added bonkersness of him being a CEO with face blindness and her being a star actress whose face & body changes once a month.

There have been a few scenes in SWP that have made me think PSJ may not age well, particularly the ‘drowned cat look’ rain scenes which must have been brutal and very tiring to shoot.

Lee Min-Ki looks like a giggler, I think he'd be fun too! That clip is to do with the film he made with her called Spellbound where he is a magician & she can see ghosts.

It’s a very Anglocentric approach though. I think we should all endeavour to develop some conversational Korean, or at least hire a translator (or offer to pay Seadays’ and IAm’s airfares so they can join us).
