A quiet corner of MN for serious addicts of Kdrama, or the Kdrama-curious. Most of our viewing is drawn from Netflix and Viki, but the more seriously addicted have other sources, including dramabus. Awww! She was pretty was infuriating... But... It is sooo lovely... And I love a certain aspect of the storytelling but won't say as its a spoiler!..
(even though its pretty obvious what happens!).... But how they get there is fun! And I love 2ml...hes very funny and lovely!
.. Love how he calls her Jackson!... But sad it doesn't use the carpenters song in the Netflix version as I think it makes it all the more touching! ♥️❤️😍
I'm still on Dr Romantic and started I Am Not A Robot (Viki)... Still in The K2 as well but finding watching on Dramabus cumbersome! 😭

I couldn’t find She Was Pretty on viki. Was it originally on Dramabus? Checking cause there’s something odd going on with our AppleTV and Viki. I watched the whole of Weightlifting Fairy on my phone (viki) or NF and it still hasn’t shown up in my viewing history on the AppleTV, nor could I find WLFKBJ on the aAppleTV viki app.

Also, about SWP - the FL is totally NOT ugly, she just has troublesome skin. I also like her clothes - one of the more wearable FL wardrobes on the kdrama spectrum. At least she can run in her docs. I’ll be cross if they stick her in a micro mini & hooker heels later.

Nope, nope, nope. It’s probably for the best. Things could get ugly if we were all fighting over the same MLs for our oppa list. Ji Chang Wook seems to be our common denominator - occupying the tiny triangle on the 3 circle Venn diagram.

Speaking of which, what’s the toyboy equivalent of an oppa? Most MLs are waaay younger than me. Does Korean society even have the concept of cougars, or are older women invisible to young men?

I originally watched SWP on dramabus... It was a pain in the arse but I endured!!

I hear your voice (netflix) had an older FL to ml (Toasty LJS)... But she wasn't outrageously older... However he was a senior in high school to her being a public defender which is a bit... Esp when he went to meet her in his uniform! 😂😯

The FL has the frizzy hair & red face that is not deemed pretty . Agree 2ML - Siwon - is very tempting Heechuloppa has been singing his praises for a while.

There are plenty of Noona romances, the new Toasty LYS is one so maybe that is the name for cougar? I don't know if there's a phrase for toyboy

There may be a slight tussle for Lee Min-Ki if he sorts his fringe out on a permanent basis

It is very frustrating. I am currently on a Yeon Woo Jin spiral having watched Introverted Boss & Marriage not Dating . Currently on Priest which is not really my thing (exorcism horror) . All drama bus. Putting off watching Hymn of Desth until tomorrow as am off to a party tonight & it might be a bit of a downer

PSJ seems to have an unerring tendency to play unlikeable twats. I don’t care how sweet his character becomes once he starts to woo FL, he’s treating her like shit right now. 😠 I’ll see how much of this I can tolerate, but I don’t find entitled arseholery endearing in a man.

It’s like they say on the MN relationships board, pay attention to how a man speaks to waiting staff etc if you want to see his real character.

Agree he does seem to play that role a lot. The only one that’s different is Fight For My Way which isn’t about an office romance, but young people struggling to make ends meet

Siwon seems to be very religious IRL - wikipedia says he wants to do Christian missionary work at some point. There’s also the scandal about his dog biting a woman who subsequently died from sepsis as a result of the bite. He is good looking and boyish in this, but I’m not getting the “interesting to chat to in a pub” vibe.

Thoroughly enjoying Dr Stranger but am finding all the older men very unpleasant due to their skulduggery!... Esp disliking Dr Mun he's such a horrible character! Odious!!... But I'm drawn in by the plot!.... Even though its a tad silly!! Is it a thriller? Medical drama? Romance? Comedy?... Arrrggh! 😂😍😂

What do we think about Lee Min-Ki down the pub? I think he'd have a quirky sense of humour

I definitely think he’d have more interesting things to say. I need to see him in a less taciturn role to get the measure of him properly. If only viki would play ball.

Still with She Was Pretty (just about). If there was any justice in the world she’d totally friendzone PSJ abd shack up with the quirky chaebol, but it’ll probably play to usual form and she’ll end up with PSJ. Zzzzzz.

Dr stranger ep13.... What the flipptydoodah!... Do these scriptwriters make it up as they go along...? It's developed into full blown hospital drama with love quartet in the middle!... North Korea seems to have been forgotten about!
However.. Still watching with Glee!... 😍😂
