A quiet corner of MN for serious addicts of Kdrama, or the Kdrama-curious. Most of our viewing is drawn from Netflix and Viki, but the more seriously addicted have other sources, including dramabus. I LOVED While You Were Sleeping as a bonus it has the cute guy from Prison Playbook & Something In The Rain

I prefer the story (3 main characters have dreams that foretell the future) plus it’s quite sweet & funny although obv. there is the usual tragic back history

It’s the first one I saw Dr Toasty LYS in & set me off the spiral. His new drama starting in a couple of weeks then he’s off to do military service 😱

I’d assumed while you were sleeping was a rehash of the Sandra Bullock film. Is that not the case?

Nothing to do with the Hollywood film. They have dreams of the future when they sleep so they try & correct the visions and stop things happening. It's better than it sounds and Toasty LJS is a dorky prosecutor and the old detective from Black is his investigator.

That was lovely. It’s in my top picks. But why oh why is everything else with Lee Min Ki in it unavailable on UK viki? 😠

I also thought he was really good in The Beauty Inside & Spellbound (film) but i think that was on drama bus

He and the FL have cameo roles in Whats Up With Secretary Kim where in a flashback they play the young parents of Secretary Kim

I had to go to bed, so I only watched the first 30 min.

Made a special detour this morning to get more kimchee from the Korean grocery so I can have a kimcheese toastie for lunch. Just about to tuck in. 😄

Doing the 10 min shuffle just now. First up, She Was Pretty and then maybe Ms Hammurabi. I’m undecided about Whils You Were Sleeping. I watched 10 min of Witches Love with DS earlier because his BFF is really into it, but the tottering, towering soup delivery in stilettos was so improbable it ruined any enjoyment.

(There’s part of me that really wants a decent break because I’m still thinking about bits of Because this is my first life.)

I couldn’t get into Ms Hammurabi but enjoyed She Was Pretty although it is fluff compared to Because TIMFL

The bit where they show her finishing a script & settling down to watch the drama she wrote, & the photo of them at Arsenal & discussing how everyone calls them the weird couple cos they split up to go to their own families for the holidays

And yes, I did see the Arsenal/annual contract negotiation bit. The bus scene was at the very end of that.

So far I prefer 2ML (Mr Motorbike). I’m beginning to think I’m impervious to PSJ’s charms. Whatever they are, I’m completely immune.
